With Devin Thomas spouting off to anyone that will listen about his former team, “the Deadskins,” it seemed appropriate to make him the subject of this week’s cartoon. I must warn you though, the content is suggestive and better suited for adult audiences only.
So without further ado…
In lieu of Devin Thomas’ comments about Washington over the last week or so, I thought it might be interesting to compare him to other players in the annuls of “Deadskins” receiving history. If you don’t get the Deadskins reference, a lot of the angst towards Devin Thomas, is because his new pet nickname for the team that wasted a second round draft pick and 5 million bucks on him is, that’s right, the Deadskins.
You could see it coming, but, honestly, I was still taken by surprise when the Redskins cut Devin Thomas. The conventional wisdom is, it takes about 2 seasons for most new pro WR’s to reach their “full potential effectiveness” (who knows what that really means?)… It’s, obviously, not all about talent, as that only provides your starting point.

While it has become almost painful to watch the Redskins fumble through each and every week, it’s our job at THN to keep bringing you the news – no matter how ’embarrassing’ some of it might be.
Yesterday, Vinny Cerrato publicly endorsed coach Jim Zorn’s job stability.
This is a new blog I’ll plan to do at least weekly starting with training camp. For now, at least, it will just be something along the lines of a Redskins notebook. I’ll be going to the internet trough and posting some of the slop that I come across that seems relevant. Numbers. 47-3. 24-3. 71-6. Sure, they mean something, and right now they don’t look good. But this game is about more than numbers, which sounds silly to say, since the score has actual numbers in it, numbers which determine the winner and loser. However, in the preseason, I’ve tried to look past the numbers, and what I see from the Redskins is rather exciting.
