There are are a lot of new faces at Redskins Park these days, especially today as the Redskins kick off the offseason schedule with the Rookie Mini-Camp. Combine that, with the fact that it’s Friday, and that means Follow Friday on Twitter, I thought it would be prudent to put together a (hopefully) comprehensive list of the twitter handles of all the new blood.

Photo Gallery: Kevin Mitchell (1971-2007)
During his time as a Redskin, I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Mitchell on many occasions. Not once was he ever unpleasant to talk to or interact with. Win or lose, he always flashed his trademark smile for everyone to see.
To help commemorate the fifth anniversary of his passing, I have put together this gallery of various photos that have never been seen by the media. If you never had the chance to meet him, hopefully these photos give you a clear view into his personality.
Remembering Kevin Mitchell: Five Years Later
While Redskins fans were still buzzing on Monday after the most anticipated draft in decades, Denise Mitchell spent the day at her husbands grave. She and their three children, Jonathan (9), Kayla (7) and Alyssa (4) laid flowers on his grave and reflected on what was, as well as what could have been. To commemorate … Read more

Why Drafting Cousins was a Great Move
Kirk Cousins isn’t in Washington to take Robert Griffin III’s job. He’s a backup. Yet, he has stirred up more controversy than anyone in the draft. Let’s take a look at a few of the arguments concerning the Cousins pick.
1) The Redskins should draft best available
All I heard heading into the draft is that the Redskins need to draft the best available player. Where did all those voices go? Of course they are still around, but now they are up in arms because Shanahan actually did it. It’s not a good practice at all to bash the guy for not drafting best available and then bash him again when he does it. It seems everyone was so busy looking for a great quarterback in the senior bowl that they forgot who gave the best performance, Cousins. The guy is a smart player and an intelligent person. He’s more confident than John Beck and has better awareness on the field(Yes, Beck has no confidence regardless of what he says, remember the Bills game, ok) and more realistic than Rex Grossman (as well as more mechanically sound). Cousins has actually worked to improve his awareness and confidence.
Hog Wire: News And Notes
Gaffney Released
I’m not sure I really understand the ‘celebration’ of some Redskins fans of the news today that Jabar Gaffney had been released, but whatever. Gaffney was the most dependable receiver on the roster last season, his only season in the burgundy and gold. Other than a Twitter tirade that may or may not have been him (he says that his account was hacked), his time in Washington was very positive.
He hauled in 68 catches for 947 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2011 – all team highs. All three were also career highs (touchdowns tied 2007).
Griffin Dazzles In Presser
Robert Griffin III got his first opportunity to woo the Washington media and fans on Saturday at FedEx Field, he did not disappoint. Asked about everything from Redskins history to Redskins future, here are some of his comments:
On the attention he has already received…
“I went to a signing in Chantilly and saw 7 different variations of my name on a shirt, so I kind of understand the anticipation, the excitement. You just gotta realize it’s about more than just one person. Quarterback always gets all the attention. He also gets all the criticism. So it’s not necessarily how you can take the praise and the attention. It’s how you can deal with the type of criticism you’re bound to get. I know this is a business. I have to be a professional. “
