Dan Snyder and the XMB-5000

The office was large and plush. The 15-foot ceilings and large windows made even the largest of defensive linemen feel small. To one side was an equally large fire-place and in the middle or the room, with the windows behind it, was the desk of one Daniel M. Snyder.

Rain pattered against the glass of the enormous windows, and gave the night an even more ominous feel. The only light in the office was coming from the crackling fire in the aforementioned fireplace.

Medium; Not Well Done

Okay, I get it, I get it. Sure those Lions weren’t the 0-16 Lions of last year.

Sure those Lions were only 0-2 this year.

Yes those Lions had 16 new starters, and a new head coach, but is that the best excuse we can come up with for why we lost?

“Well, they were a good team; better than people give them credit for.” That’s our response?

How are we ever supposed to beat “good teams” if we console ourselves after a loss…if we justify a loss by saying “oh, well, they were a good team.”

Slop From The Trough 06-12-09

This is a new blog I’ll plan to do at least weekly starting with training camp. For now, at least, it will just be something along the lines of a Redskins notebook. I’ll be going to the internet trough and posting some of the slop that I come across that seems relevant. Feel free to comment to let me know if I’ve missed something or you have ideas for improvement.

For now, let’s get started with LaRon Landry, Jason Campbell, two signings and James Thrash:

Get On Your Horse

Back on September 14th, I blogged about the Redskins need to put the ball into the hands of their most lethal offensive weapon, Clinton Portis. Needless to say, the Redskins don’t listen to me, but Coach Zorn obviously agreed with the sentiment, as since that time, Portis has been busy, and he has been effective. In fact, he’s been more effective than any other running back in the league.
