Building Up The History Section Of The Website With Legends Profiles

While the NFL offseason seems to grow shorter and shorter as the years go by, there is still an offseason. After the opening of free agency and the NFL Draft, there is definitely a lull in the action. There isn’t much to report on and there isn’t much to talk about.

One of the things that I have become passionate about, is trying to build up the history section of this website. So for me, using this time in the offseason to add to the resources that this site provides, seems like a good thing to do.

One of the thing that I have always wanted to have more of, is profiles of players that have been great for this team. Sure a lot of them are from what seems like long ago, but how else are the youth of today and tomorrow supposed to learn about the greats if there are few resources?

Dallas Week: Memories of Rivalry Past

I was both impressed and amused by Deangelo Hall’s new found fiestiness…  in an “Awwww, come on, dude” kind of way…  Here’s this little guy, never known for his physicality, talkin’ “AH MA GONNA TAKE’EMOUT” smack with Tony Romo on Dallas Week.

Deangelo:  “Absolutely. I want to get a chance to put my helmet on whatever’s hurt,” Hall said. “Romo’s ribs—I’m going to be asking for some corner blitzes. If I know Felix Jones’(notes) shoulder’s hurt, I’m not going to cut him. I’m definitely going to try to hit him up high, so that’s just part of it.

“If you know something’s wrong with an opponent, you’re going to try to target in on that. We’re going to try to definitely get as many hats on that team as possible.”

Does it get any better?

Burgundy and Gold Faithful Invade Canton

What a weekend to be a Redskins fan. Two legends are officially enshrined as members of the hallowed Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. Then the current crop of Washington Redskins kicks off the NFL preseason in the annual Hall of Fame game against the Indianapolis Colts one night later.

August 2nd marked the beginning of what Redskins fans were looking forward to since February. Former cornerback Darrell Green, who spent 20 years in Washington, and former wide receiver Art Monk, the Redskins all-time leading receiver and retired as the NFL’s most prolific pass-catcher, officially became members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
