Recapping Day 3 of Redskins Free Agency

The Redskins made their biggest move of the day early Thursday morning by shipping disgruntled defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth to the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2013 5th round draft pick. This ends a dark chapter because Haynesworth is widely viewed as arguably the biggest free agent bust in franchise history, which should say something. Ironically, Haynesworth heads to another team with a 3-4 defense and a coach regarded as even stricter than Mike Shanahan in Bill Belichick.

What’s Good?

So it’s a bye week, and for Redskin fans, that seems to mean a whole lot of people walking around with their heads down. Who can blame them? It’s been a tough first seven games.

This is a new blog I’ll plan to do at least weekly starting with training camp. For now, at least, it will just be something along the lines of a Redskins notebook. I’ll be going to the internet trough and posting some of the slop that I come across that seems relevant. Feel free to comment to let me know if I’ve missed something or you have ideas for improvement.

For now, let’s get started with LaRon Landry, Jason Campbell, two signings and James Thrash:
