Welcome to the first #WallpaperWednesday of the 2023 NFL regular season. For near on twenty straight seasons, this site has created schedule wallpapers for Washington fans.
Back in the day, those wallpapers were created at 800×600 pixels to suit the “modern desktop”. Â This season all of the wallpapers will be at 1920×1080 resolution for the desktop ones, and 1080×1920 for the mobile wallpapers.
The Commanders 2023 53-Man Roster was named yesterday, and the team is now “set” for the 2023 season. Obviously there will be many changes before the end of the season, but this is what Washington are going with to begin the campaign.
So how do they look?
As I wrote earlier in May, the NFL offseason seems to grow shorter and shorter as time go by; however, there is still an offseason. And that leaves some time to grow out areas of this website that I am passionate about – like the History section.
Building up the history section of this website is just part of every offseason. I try to add to the resources that this site provides, as it gets harder and harder to find some of these history elements in some cases.
So there are four new pages in the History section that I want to draw Joe Q. Reader’s attention to, and there may be a couple more before the offseason is out:
The Washington Commanders began their 2023 Training Camp in Ashburn this week. Open practices for fans began on Thursday, and at the “Back Together Saturday” themed celebration yesterday – Commanders Park was “sold out”.
Somewhere in the region of 10,000 fans descended on the OrthoVirginia Training Center on Saturday. The buzz is real. After all, what could be more galvanizing to the fan base, than finally being free of the ole ball and chain?
With the $6.05 billion sale to Josh Harris, Dan Snyder’s tenure in the NFL came to an end. The league agreed to the deal yesterday.
After twenty plus years of ownership, Dan and wife Tanya took one last opportunity to prove that they just don’t get it.

A fan base is collectively pinching itself worldwide. Is this just some dream, or did Dan Snyder really vacate his throne?
8,821 days. That’s how long the reign of horror lasted in Washington D.C. Exactly 24 years, one month and 24 days of Snyder ownership.
But it’s finally over. It’s really finally over.
