The 2022 NFL Draft is upon us! The action will kick off tonight at 8pm in Las Vegas with the first round. The second and third rounds will take place tomorrow night, and the remaining rounds four through seven will go on Saturday.

Washington Football Team 2021 Draft Selections

It’s a time honored tradition to rate how a team drafted the day after the draft. None of the players have even signed a contract yet. None of them have played a down of football yet. It is tough to rank much, other than wether or not a team filled some needs, and if their picks met with experts’ opinions.

Washington definitely filled a few needs, and the majority of their selections were considered solid at the position. Their 19th overall pick Jamin Davis, was considered a reach by some, but was climbing many other’s draft boards as well. Third round cornerback Benjamin St-Juste was also ranked a little lower than he was chosen.

Washington Select Linebacker Davis With The 19th Overall Pick

The pick is in. With the 19th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Washington selected Jamin Davis out of Kentucky. The 6’3″ 234 pound linebacker is a physically impressive specimen, and is coming off a fantastic season for the Wildcats.

In 2020, he registered 102 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and three interceptions – including one returned for a touchdown. He also had a forced fumble and a blocked field goal – and all in ten games.

Washington Football Team 2021 Draft Picks

This year’s 2021 NFL Draft will mark the 86th annual meeting of the National Football League, to select newly eligible players for the 2021 NFL season. The draft is scheduled to be held in Cleveland from April 29 to May 1, 2021. Jacksonville Jaguars select first, and are ‘on the clock’.

Washington’s NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles have the most selections with eleven. Seattle have the fewest picks, with just four. The Washington Football Team enter the 2021 NFL draft with eight total picks, including the 19th overall pick.

Washington Redskins NFL Draft Selections For 2020

The 2020 NFL Draft was the 85th annual meeting of the National Football League. The Washington Redskins ended up making eight selections over the weekend, including the second overall pick. With that pick, they chose defensive end Chase Young out of Ohio State University.

The draft was originally scheduled to be held in Paradise, Nevada, but was instead held via videoconferencing due to the Covid pandemic.
