Wallpaper Wednesday: 2023 Schedule Wallpapers!
Welcome to the first #WallpaperWednesday of the 2023 NFL regular season. For near on twenty straight seasons, this site has created schedule wallpapers for Washington fans.
Back in the day, those wallpapers were created at 800×600 pixels to suit the “modern desktop”. This season all of the wallpapers will be at 1920×1080 resolution for the desktop ones, and 1080×1920 for the mobile wallpapers.
Wallpaper Wednesday: White Jersey Mobile Wallpapers
Today’s featured wallpaper is themed on Washington’s 2022 white jerseys.
The jerseys were accompanied by a burgundy helmet, with a satin finish, and featuring a gold center stripe. It also featured the “folded W” logo with a dark embossed outline.
Wallpaper: Charles Leno Jr For Walter Payton Man Of The Year
Today’s wallpaper subject is Charles Leno Jr. With the Washington Commanders season coming to a close last week with their win over the Dallas Cowboys, the only thing left in 2022, are the personal accolades for players. Starting left tackle Leno, is Washington’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
And he couldn’t possibly be more deserving.
Wallpaper Wednesday: New Sean Taylor Mobile And Desktop Wallpapers
Today’s wallpaper is Sean Taylor. Wallpapers actually – there is one for your mobile device and one for your desktop.
If you follow me on Twitter, then you have already seen (and hopefully) downloaded these images for yourself. I posted them on the Sunday that Sean’s memorial was revealed at Fed Ex Field.
Unfortunately I forgot to post them on the website, but I wanted to make sure and get them out into the web-o-sphere for everyone.
Wallpaper Wednesday: Black Jersey Mobile Wallpaper
Today’s featured wallpaper is themed on Washington’s alternate black jerseys – their tribute to the troops.
The uniforms feature numbers on the helmets, the Washington D.C. flag on the sleeve, and yellow trim.
Wallpaper Wednesday: Daron Payne Mobile Wallpaper
Today’s wallpaper subject is Daron Payne. After all, not only has the defense improved over the last few weeks, but Payne has been a bright spot for the entire season.
The only question mark surrounding Payne these days, is will he be in Washington next year?
Since he is in the final year of his rookie contract, there is the danger that he walks through free agency.
Wallpaper Wednesday: Tress Way Mobile Wallpaper
Today’s wallpaper subject is Tress Way – because he’s about the only player on the Washington Commanders that is leading the NFL in any category. Tress has punted the ball a league-high 29 times.
Okay, maybe that’s not that positive a statistic, because you don’t really want to lead the league in that category. But that part isn’t Way’s fault.
Wallpaper Wednesday: Jonathan Allen Mobile Wallpaper
Today’s wallpaper subject is Jonathan Allen – arguable the only Washington Commander to “show up” for all four 2022 games. He has firmly established himself as the team leader, and he leads by his example on the field.
Wallpaper Wednesday: The Posse – Monk, Clark & Sanders
Sometimes after a tough loss – especially one like the 24-8 pasting Sunday from the Philadelphia Eagles – it’s better to go with a retro wallpaper. It’s perhaps even more appropriate, when nobody really stood out as having played well in the game.
So today’s wallpapers are to honor one of the greatest groups to ever don the burgundy and gold – The Posse.
