Its definitely too early to really make play-off predictions, but Steve Wyche did so any way. There’s no real surprise information here. Obviously, he has the Giants, Panthers and Cardinals as locks, since all three of these teams are the class of their division, at least as it presently looks in the standings. He also lists Tampa Bay as being “In good standing.” Again, no surprise. They are 7-3 and playing pretty good football.

Portis NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Portis was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on the strength of his 29 carry, 145-yard rushing effort against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also had 2 catches for 13 yards, to lead all NFL players with 158 all-purpose yards from scrimmage.
What Can You Say about the now 4-1 Redskins?
The Washington Redskins may not be the best team on paper, but they certainly look like one of the best in the league right now.
After falling very painfully to the Giants in week one, most had written this team off to a 5-11 record. Their chances versus the New Orleans Saints seemed pretty slim. Drew Brees was a much better QB than Eli Manning and had thrown for over 300 yards in week one. The Redskins defense would not be able to stop them, and Jason Campbell would not be any better than his efforts versus the Giants. The West Coast offense was just too hard to learn.
By The Numbers: Eagles I
Each week, we take a look at some of the game’s numbers to see what stands out – take a look at some of the statistics from Washington’s impressive 23-17 victory over the Eagles on Sunday:
Redskins vs. Eagles Post Game Wrap
Well, the Washington Redskins did it again – they walked into a division rival’s house and pinned a big ‘L’ on them. Going into the game, the ‘experts’ seemed sure that the Philadelphia Eagles would take this one, but then again, they said the same thing last week about Dallas. Here are some links to some of Sunday’s game coverage:
