The Redskins listed a staggering 17 players on their official injury report for Monday – a fact compounded exponentially by the fact that they play the Giants on Thursday this week. Here is a list of Monday’s official designations:

Redskins Free Agency Tracker – March 13th
The Redskins opened up the first day with barely a peep. The team retained punter Sav Rocca and defensive lineman Kedric Golston. It was also revealed through Twitter that the One Man Gang, Lorenzo Alexander, would be signing with a new team to be determined.
As the more expensive free agents are taken off the market, the Redskins should get more active with scouting affordable B and C level talent.

Lee and Golston Inked
The Redskins made a couple of depth moves today, signing offensive tackle James Lee, and re-signing defensive lineman Kedric Golston.
Golston has been with the Redskins his entire six-year NFL career, and Washington knows exactly what they’re getting – a solid contributor that is versatile enough to back-up anywhere along the defensive front. He had 1.5 sacks in nine games last season before being put on injured reserve.

So it’s a bye week, and for Redskin fans, that seems to mean a whole lot of people walking around with their heads down. Who can blame them? It’s been a tough first seven games.
