The Washington Redskins failed to achieve one of their biggest offseason goals, which was to sign quarterback Kirk Cousins to a long-term contract. After the team was unable to reach a long-term deal with Cousins, the team issued a statement in which they said they offered the quarterback a $53 million deal but they didn’t get a response from Cousins or any of his reps.
