Victory Monday: Commanders Snatch Win From Broncos

The Washington Commanders victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday was a bit if an anomaly. Why? Because Washington haven’t opened a season at 2-0 since the Occupy Wall Street movement.

That’s right, they haven’t won their first two regular season games since 2011.

It was a very tight game. Perhaps more poignantly, it definitely didn’t look like it was going to happen for at least half of the game. In fact, it almost fell through at the last moment as well.

Looking Back At The Washington Commanders 2022 NFL Season

It wasn’t a losing season, but it wasn’t a winning one either. It was a very mixed bag for the Washington Commanders in 2022. Despite an auspicious beginning, they were in the playoff hunt until the second last game of the season against the Cleveland Browns – a 24-10 defeat that dashed any hopes of a playoff game.

Who could forget the infamous comment from Head Coach Ron Rivera following the Browns loss?

“We can be eliminated?”

After the first game, it looked like maybe the Carson Wentz could work.

That didn’t last long.

Here’s a look at the entire season of events:

Washington Vs Atlanta: It Wasn’t Pretty, But A Win Is A Win

There’s an old saying that you don’t get any extra points for how you win a game. That’s likely the best way to look at Washington’s narrow 19-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The game was in the balance all the way until the very end, when Daron Payne tipped a Marcus Mariota pass, just yards from the goal line. Kendall Fuller subsequently intercepted that pass with just 58 seconds to go, and Washington walked away with their sixth win in the last seven games.

Even after the interception, the game wasn’t decided. Washington could not get a first down and were forced to punt the ball away with 32 seconds left. Fortunately, punter Tress Way was nudged during his punt, and the Commanders were handed yet another olive branch.

And managed another win.

Commanders Earn Taylor-Made Win Over Packers

Taylor Heinicke might not have the most NFL-est arm in the league, but Taylor Heinicke certainly has one of the most NFL-est attitudes in the game. With Carson Wentz out for a minimum of four games, Washington’s backup quarterback took to the field on Sunday to try and win a football game. And did.

In true Washington form, fans were split down the middle as to wether or not they should throw any praise in Heinicke’s direction. The bottom line is that the Washington Commanders beat a Green Bay Packers team that almost nobody expected them to beat. Especially with a backup quarterback at the helm.

2022 Schedule Wallpapers: Brian Robinson Jr. And Terry McLaurin

Every year for near on twenty years, this site has posted schedule wallpapers for people to download. It’s quite comical and near digitally historic to think about how wallpapers were originally created for desktops at resolutions of 800 x 600 at that time. Then they went to 1024 x 768, and eventually moved on to more high definition letterbox typed sizes like 1280 x 720. Ultimately we moved into the mobile arena and had to start creating them at 1080 x 1920 for people’s phones.

Whatever the size, we hope you enjoy them!
