Kevin Barnes Highlights Day 2 Haul

As a Maryland fan, I couldn’t have been happier with the Washington Redskins third round selection on Sunday. Kevin Barnes is a hard-hitting cornerback with decent hands and above average coverage skills. If you aren’t a Maryland fan, you may or may not have heard of this kid, so for reference, feel free to ask … Read more

Redskins Select Brian Orakpo At #13

Following all of the hype surrounding the Redskins interest in USC quarterback Mark Sanchez, they end up selecting a position of need, possibly because of a little bit of luck. First, the New York Jets swooped in to select Sanchez at #5 overall following a trade they made with the Cleveland Browns. And then, unexpectedly, … Read more

Bruce Allen? George Allen? Memories…

All I can say is wow. Cerrato. Gone. Poof. I sure didn’t see it coming. Of course, in hind sight… there have been a number of Daniel Snyder – Bruce Allen sightings… and I think that there have been a couple of quickly dismissed rumors… We all wished… http://ourtadalafil.com/ but no one expected… for Cerrato to leave the scene.

So, there is delirium… rumors continue to swirl… it seems that most money is on Mike Shanahan to become the next HC… but, who would expect that to be announced before the end of the season?

Is this for Real?

It’s time. I’ve spent the season so far celebrating my cynicism… I mean, really, what else could I do… I’m a Redskins fan, who was in his prime during the glory seasons. I know what it is to immerse onself in a sea of victories… Yet, I have now lived through multible seasons of virtual mediocrity. I have sympathy for all those latter day fans, who have known only mediocrity. How findviagrapills sad for you all… You deserve better. So, the question is, was yesterday’s win a hint of things to come? Or just another tease?

Sometimes, It Takes Magic

I’ve heard some of the whining… “You can’t win when you’re playing against the Refs, too.”

I hear ya. It is hard when you are playing 11 on 12. But, that 12th man wasn’t wearing black and white stripes… Frankly, I’m not sure exactly what Marie LaVeau is wearing these days, but she is clearly one imposing football player, when she’s got that #30 Burgundy and White voodoo doll in her hands…
She sure timed those needle jabs just right… That had to hurt. And, Madame LaVeau, what skillful manipulations were involved in working that pathetic punt over to tap poor Kevin Barnes in the shoulder as he was doing everything he could to make himself the smallest target possible? wow… excellent. more here My hat is off to you, Madame… Good game!

Join Hogettes, Rocky McIntosh At Kaps For Kids Walkathon

I just received an email telling me about the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington DC’s 12th Annual Airbus KAPS FOR KIDS WALK-A-THON, scheduled to take place on April 18th.   I wanted to post it here for a number of reasons. From a THN perspective, this is a cool way to meet a Redskins player, hang … Read more

Injuries = More Tenacious Play?

I’m confused. So, what else is new?

Concussions… ACL’s… MCL’s… Fractures… Sprains… Hip pointers… Team leaders and fast risers on IR… yet, still, the Redskins are finding their mojo.

For multiple weeks at the start of the season, the Redskins, virtually at full strength, played as poorly as you could imagine against the historical dregs of the league. They barely won against the Rams. They lost to the Lions. Amazingly, they beat Tampa Bay… by a field goal. This “sterling” offensive performance was followed by losses to Carolina, Kansas City (KANSAS CITY!!!), Philly at home, a draw with the bye week, then a loss to Atlanta. I have no idea how they beat Denver… but it was nice. Now, they have put up strong, fairly tenacious, but losing, efforts against Dallas and Philly, as well.
