Next Up For the WFT In Week 4, The Atlanta Falcons

The Washington Football Team will face the Atlanta Falcons at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Sunday. Both teams have 1-2 records coming into the match-up.

Washington were pounded by Josh Allen and the Bills this past Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo. Allen racked up 350-plus yards passing to go with his five touchdowns – four of them passing, and one of them on the ground.

The WFT defense that was so talked about in the offseason, seemed to have no answers.

Washington Football Team Position Breakdowns: Running Backs

It is doubtful that any other position on the roster, will see as little turnover as the running back position. In all likelihood, Washington will open the 2021 season, exactly as they finished the 2020 season.

Washington finished 2020 with a backfield of Antonio Gibson, Peyton Barber, and J.D. McKissic. The three of them finished the season with 1368 yards rushing (795 + 258 + 365) collectively – not exactly breath-taking. Is that cause for optimism or fret in 2021?

Morgan Moses Dumped, Offensive Line Trimmed By Two

Washington has reportedly dumped seven-year Washington veteran Morgan Moses. Moses was given permission to seek a trade this week, but having found no suitors, will officially be released.

Moses started 97 games for the WFT, after originally being drafted in the third round out of Virginia in 2014. He wasn’t always dependable, but he grew to be dependable. Moses had arguably his best season at right tackle in 2020.
