RGIII To Declare; How much Would You Pay?

Let The Love-fest Begin.

Word is that Robert Griffin III will indeed apply for eligibility for this year’s draft. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweeted ‘as per family source’ that Griffin would be informing Baylor head coach Art Briles today, that he was going to ‘turn pro.’ And so the mayhem starts.

As a Redskins fan, how much do you want to see RGIII in the B&G? Kind of has a nice ring to it doesn’t it?

Kudo Awards: Ryan Kerrigan

It’s easy to get bogged down in the doom and gloom of an offseason, when your team is on the sidelines and other teams are still playing football. In an effort to be part of a slightly positive offseason movement, an offseason that I think will bring the Redskins back to a level of true decency, I present my Kudo Awards.

Kudo Awards

Over the next week or two, I’ll be blogging about Redskins that are worthy of a pat on the back for their play in 2011. Sure the Redskins finished a dismal 5-11, but that doesn’t mean that there weren’t some really good efforts and performances put in. Up first – Ryan Kerrigan.

Evan Royster Wallpaper

To commemorate a great close to the season from Redskins’ running back Evan Royster, I was inspired to do up a wallpaper to honor his two consecutive 100-plus yard rushing efforts.

The rookie got his first career NFL start against the Vikings, when fellow rookie running back Roy Helu couldn’t go. Royster made the most of his opportunity with 132 yards rushing on 19 carries, and another 15 yards on two receptions. Considering the Redskins released Ryan Torain, you’d have to assume that the Redskins were impressed enough with Royster to give him Torain’s back-up role.

Redskins Will Choose Sixth in the NFL Draft

The Redskins will choose in the first ten picks, for the fifth time in the last ten years. The Redskins season ending loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, coupled with a Jacksonville Jaguars win over the Indianapolis Colts, moved Washington up into slot number six in April’s NFL Draft. The Jags and the Redskins both finished … Read more

Torain Has Left The Station

Ever heard the phrase, “The train has left the station?” It is an idiom that means a process is already under way, and there is no point in resisting it. Further to that, it means the time for making objections has passed, and that cooperation in the process is the only option. How fitting is … Read more

By The Numbers: Vikings

There were some wacky numbers and statistics from the Washington Redskins’ wacky, unpredictable 33-26 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Here are some of the most telling: 397 – All-purpose yards for the Redskins, to the Vikings 389 yards – pretty much a stone cold draw. 284 – Yards passing for Rex Grossman on a 26 … Read more

Another Cowboys Parody Song

Cowboy Jeff is in rare form, as I received yet another parody song from him. My apologies to Jeff for not getting a link posted to it until now.

This one is dedicated to that ugly red-headed stepchild that mans the Cowboys sidelines these days – Jason Garrett – and is called Jerry’s Girl. It is to the tune of another 80’s “classic” Jesse’s Girl by Rick Springfield.

Game Day Preview: Patriots

When the mighty 9-3 New England Patriots roll into Fed Ex Field looking for their first ever win in the nation’s capital, it’s admittedly tough to not see it coming this Sunday against this struggling 4-8 Redskins team. Mired in both a slump, and in turmoil, after losing two of their few remaining offensive bright … Read more
