Welcome to my ‘PUSHY’ list – which stands for Players Undoubtedly Sucking Hard Yesterday. I think the list meaning is pretty self-explanatory, so here we go…

Diatribe to Leonard Hankerson’s Doubters
Last week, prior to John Beck’s proclamation in his impromptu media session, I made it a point to remark that Leonard Hankerson may not have been to blame for the INT late in the game. I said it looked as though he made a read on the corner who bit down, and Beck threw it to where Hankerson would have been had he just contested Gamble for the catch instead of trying to make a play by getting open downfield. John Beck confirmed that, and whether he was just being the pro and leader and taking the bullet for his guy or not, is left to nothing but speculation.

Special THN Tie-In On the B-Mitch Show Tonight
Just a heads up to the THN community and Redskins Nation that I will be on the Brian Mitchell Tailgate Show tonight at 7pm on BMitchlive.com. It is a very special panel for tonight’s show, as the crew of the show asked me to round up the guys that chip in, and help me put out the Game Day Preview article every week.
As if it’s not enough of an honor to be on the show, to be on the show based on the quality of a piece of Redskins content that comes from this site, is high praise indeed.
Game Day Preview: Bills
Go North Redskins fans – to Canada – where the 3-3 Washington Redskins will take on the 4-2 Buffalo Bills, in a place called the Rogers Centre. Home to the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball team, home to the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts, and more recently, home to the National Football League’s Buffalo … Read more
Where Buffalo Roam
The Washington Redskins will play their seventh game of the 2011 season on the road against the Buffalo Bills, but they won’t be playing in Buffalo, they will be playing in Toronto, Canada. The game is part of the NFL’s international ‘promotion tour’, and has been every year since 2008, when Toronto began it’s run … Read more
News and Notes For Week 8
Here’s a quick look at what’s going on at Redskins Park today:
Kareem Moore practiced…
… his 6 weeks on the PUP list are up, and while the Redskins didn’t make a roster move to bring him off the PUP list, Coach Mike Shanahan did say that Moore could be activated very soon. Washington actually has 21 days to integrate him back into the 53-man roster, but given the injury concerns to Oshiomoho Atogwe, Moore will definitely be on the fast track.
Cooley’s Season Ends, Rumors Swirl
Yesterday, the Redskins surprisingly announced that they had put Chris Cooley on the injured reserve list. I say surprising only because when the veteran tight end broke his finger last week – there was no talk of it being the end to his season.
The decision is likely due to Cooley’s multiple injuries and not just his latest, a mangled finger. Captain Chaos has been nursing a knee injury all year, and while he was playing through the injury, he never seemed to get all the way back to firing on all cylinders. Regardless of the reasons behind the decision to put Cooley on IR, he’s there, and speculation begins to mount as to whether or not he will ever see the field as a Washington Redskin again.
Redskins Face Bills In Canada
It’s shaping up to be a pretty interesting season for the Washington Redskins, who have already experienced a number of different ups and downs. Many fans will remember that before the season, quarterback Rex Grossman predicted a division title for Washington, and received mostly ridicule in response. However, Washington got off to a quick start, and the NFC East doesn’t look quite as tough as many thought it would be. Now, 7 weeks into the season, the Redskins are 3-3, right in the hunt and only a game behind the 1st place New York Giants. This places a lot of significance on Washington’s Week 8 game at Buffalo.
Sunday Sadness Melts Into Monday Mourning
As if the 33-20 defeat at the hands of the hapless Carolina Panthers wasn’t enough on Sunday, news didn’t get any better for Redskins Nation on Monday. The Redskins also announced that Tim Hightower had suffered a torn ACL and was done for the year, and that Santana Moss had surgery on his hand, and … Read more
