Wentz Will Take Over For Heinicke Against The Browns

The 2022 Taylor Heinicke experiment appears to have come to a close. Head coach Ron Rivera announced this week that Carson Wentz would get the start against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. The NFL is very much a what have you done for me lately kind of league. And lately, Heinicke has faltered. The Commanders … Read more

Officials Take A Giant Dump On Washington’s Playoff Hopes

They say that no one play determines the outcome of a football game – and that’s probably true. But what about when multiple plays seemingly go against a team unfairly? For that certainly seemed to be the case for Washington on Sunday Night in their 20-12 loss to the New York Giants. Did Washington play … Read more

That Jonathan Allen Guy, Is More Than Just A Pro Bowler

Jonathan Allen is the undisputed leader of the current Washington Commanders football team. It isn’t even really a contest. That isn’t to say that there aren’t other guys that take on leadership roles, but nobody moreso than the sixth year defensive tackle.

Looking for an opinion from a player after the game? He’s the go-to-guy.

Need a dose of reality at any point in the NFL season? Again, look no further.

He has become the de facto team spokesperson, and it is a role that he has filled quite admirably. He always backs his team mates, and he wears the burgundy and gold colors with pride.

Not A Win, Not A Loss – Commanders And Giants Settle For Unsatisfying Tie

Bittersweet. That’s what any tie in the National Football League seems to be. It doesn’t feel like a win. It doesn’t feel like a loss. Players often have no idea how to feel about the result. Such was the case on Sunday for Washington Commander and New York Giant players and fans alike, after a 20-20 draw.

Both teams could have really used the win, as both are vying for the final Wild Card spot in this year’s playoff race.

Commanders Vs Giants: Head-To-Head, Odds And More

The 7-5 Washington Commanders are currently holding down the final Wild Card spot. In fact, if the playoffs were today, all four of the NFC East teams would make the playoffs. That makes this Week 13 match-up with the division rival New York Giants a big one for Washington, to say the least.

The 7-4 Giants sit just ahead of Washington in the division and in the Wild Card race. The Giants have had a ten day lay off after losing 28-20 to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. This will be the Giants second of four consecutive games against NFC East teams – including (a strange) two in a row against the Commanders.

Washington Vs Atlanta: It Wasn’t Pretty, But A Win Is A Win

There’s an old saying that you don’t get any extra points for how you win a game. That’s likely the best way to look at Washington’s narrow 19-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The game was in the balance all the way until the very end, when Daron Payne tipped a Marcus Mariota pass, just yards from the goal line. Kendall Fuller subsequently intercepted that pass with just 58 seconds to go, and Washington walked away with their sixth win in the last seven games.

Even after the interception, the game wasn’t decided. Washington could not get a first down and were forced to punt the ball away with 32 seconds left. Fortunately, punter Tress Way was nudged during his punt, and the Commanders were handed yet another olive branch.

And managed another win.

The 6-5 Washington Commanders are on a roll. They beat the Houston Texans quite convincingly and come into the Week 12 match-up with the Atlanta Falcons having won five of their last six.
