Updated: May 24th

Curtis Samuel, WR

The former Carolina Panther has agreed to a 3-year, $34.5 million deal with Washington, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Washington considered it a big need to get more downfield speed, and did so. Not only did they fill their number two receiver slot to pair with Terry McLaurin, they chose his friend and former teammate at Ohio State. Samuels can operate outside or in the slot, and offensive coordinator Scott Turner already knows how to tap into Samuel’s versatility. Grade: A

We Are Finally Back!

It has been a long and arduous task to get this site back up and going. A lot of it painful, and not something I particularly want to re-live, but I feel I do owe some explanations to anyone who might feel slighted.

The long and short of it is that I lost the old url through a comedy of errors and mishaps.

Firstly, I bought the url originally near on twenty years ago, and the business that I purchased the domain name off of in the first place is no longer in business. They actually haven’t been for more than a decade; however, they did have a site set up for exactly what I was doing – renewing domain names or accessing DNS information.

Chase Young Caps Off Dynamite Rookie Season With Major Award

Last night, Chase Young became the first Washington player ever, to win the Associated Press Defensive Rookie Of The Year. It came as a surprise to nobody. The second overall pick in 2020 has been on a collision course with the award since mid-season.

His leadership is beyond his years. It became apparent by the mid-way point of the season, that Young was the unquestionable leader of the Washington defense. Already, in his rookie season. A defense that was playing well. So well, that it was largely on the strength of those performances that Washington went 5-2 in their final seven games.

The Loser Papers – 2018 Edition VII

Did we win? When our last edition was published, the Redskins boasted a 2 game lead on the rest of the division, and a QB who, while not able to throw the long ball, was an efficient game manager, able to take what the defense gave and put a check in the win column. That seems like a year ago now, and while the Skins are not mathematically eliminated, they certainly seem to be circling the drain. To tell the truth, the editors here at TLP debated whether to even publish this edition. But here we are, bringing you, our faithful readers, a story from The Florida Times-Union:

Culture Change Begins At Home

I’m not going to blow smoke up anyone’s ass for cheap clicks here, it’s been damn hard to write about the Washington Redskins this season or at least to write anything positive about the Washington Redskins.  Everything about being a fan of this team sucks monumental ass.

The owner is a self-absorbed douchebag who has no intention of learning from two decades of mistakes and would certainly never do the fanbase the favor of selling the franchise.

He employs the least qualified general manager in the league in Bruce Allen, who gets credit for managing the salary cap better than Vinny Cerrato.  If the best we can do as fans is applaud something better than Vinny Cerrato we deserve to suffer.  And suffer we have done and continue to do at the behest of the most inept organization in all of sports.

This club can’t get anything right even by accident.  A blind squirrel may find an occasional acorn but a blind, deaf, dumb, and willfully ignorant squirrel finds either a subsistence diet or a starvation diet and Redskins fans are finding both every year.
