At THN, we’re always trying to do things a little differently, or at least with a touch of our own flavor. So I had an idea a few weeks ago, that I set into motion and will launch today. We’re going to do a cross blog promotion with some new friends and old.
Gone are the days where people would never even dream of mentioning other people’s websites or blogs; it’s a big world out there, and you can reach a lot more people when you help each other, not stifle each other. So I reached out to a few people to see if they would be interested in doing something together, and to my delight, everybody I asked was into it.
The Washington Redskins head to Dallas this week, as one of the greatest rivalries in sports will see yet another chapter told, on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys will be looking to build off of their come-from-behind 27-24 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers last week; while the surging Redskins will be looking to … Read more
Can’t you smell that smell? Ooh, ooh that smell. Familiar with the tune? Well if you’re singing it, stop right there because Lynyrd Skynyrd goes on to talk about that smell being the smell of death, and in Redskins Nation right now, that isn’t the smell we’re smelling. At least it shouldn’t be.
I get that as Redskins fans we have been beat up for years – decades even. I understand as well as anyone that a losing attitude affects all elements of an NFL organization, up to and including it’s fan base; but if you stop for just a second and pay attention…
The Washington Redskins narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 22-21 on Sunday. It may not have been the prettiest win ever, but teams don’t get any less credit for an ugly win than they do for a spotless one. Here is a look at some of the interesting stats and numbers from this week’s game. 455 … Read more
With the ever growing collective consciousness in Redskins Nation, I thought it might be fun to do something new, and ask the twitterverse for their thoughts on what was the key to beating the Cardinals this week, and then blog some of the answers.
They were charged with the task of naming one thing, and one thing only, that would be integral for Redskins success on Sunday.
Here are some of the responses:
The Redskins just announced the inactive list for today: WR Donte Stallworth S LaRon Landry FB Mike Sellers LB Markus White OL Will Smith WR Leonard Hankerson DL Darrion Scott This means that six wide receivers will be dressing today, and Sellers sitting would seem to indicate that Cooley is going to give it a … Read more
In honor of the start of the Redskins season, and to represent the change in culture in Redskins Nation, I have done up a new graphic.
Time was crunched, so this can be used as maybe a special Game Day Twitcon or avatar for now, but I will do up a wallpaper and maybe a couple more things with it next week.
Enjoy!
The premier of the Brian Mitchell ‘Tailgate’ show aired tonight and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure I have a biased opinion because THN was included in the show, but the format and the overall feel has a tangible quality that for me as a fan, was very different; moreover, it was extremely entertaining.
I know that you have all been laying awake in bed at night… hoping… waiting… dreaming about a day where you would see your favorite Redskins site (that’s us), get together with Redskin legend Brian Mitchell, to do a fan based show. Well Redskins Nation, today your dreams come true.
Ok, maybe you haven’t been losing sleep over it, or even given it a thought, but that all changes tonight at 8pm my friends.
