Eagles Trying to Tackle Injuries

Word is that King Dunlap may not be able to play on Sunday, and that could become the Achilles heel for the Philadelphia Eagles. Dunlap was expected to play in place of starter Jason Peters, who was officially ruled out of this week’s action.

Not only do the Eagles have to go three deep at left tackle if King can’t go, but the only other option they have, is to play Todd Herremans at left tackle. At first glance, that wouldn’t appear earth-shattering as Herremans is listed as the right tackle, but what a depth chart won’t tell you is that he was already playing out of position. Herremans is naturally a guard.

Game Day Preview: Eagles

When the Philadelphia Eagles take to Fed Ex Field on Sunday to face the Washington Redskins, it will likely be the first time that a 1-4 away team were favored over a 3-1 home team. If the Redskins needed more inspiration than the 59-28 shellacking they suffered at the hand of the Eagles last year, … Read more

BMitchlive Show Gets An Overhaul

After more than thirty great shows on their current set, Brian Mitchell and his crew will be launching an all new look on Friday’s Tailgate Show. The web show at Bmitchlive.com already has a very professional look and feel to it, so what could possibly be in store for the new digs? I figured there was only one logical way to find out – ask them.

Having just been on the show last week myself, I have to admit that I was more than intrigued when Brian leaked a sneak peak to the new set’s existence on Twitter this week. I promptly asked the show’s Creative Director Ben Brletic, if it was alright if I forwarded along a few questions for them. Ben graciously obliged and promised that I would have them back in short order – and then carried through with that promise (Thanks Ben).

Hop On The Love Torain

The Washington Redskins handed the St. Louis Rams a 17-10 loss last Sunday, and also perhaps lost in the game, was Tim Hightower’s stranglehold on the number one running back position. Ryan Torain made his return to the Redskins line-up, and after a 135 yard performance, he might not be sitting down again for a … Read more

THN on The B-Mitch Tailgate Show

Last night I was fortunate enough to make my first appearance on Brian Mitchell’s new Tailgate Show. If you’re not familiar with the show, please check out my blog from when THN’s own Bobby Johnson was on the show a few weeks ago.

Brian Mitchell has been coming by this website for a few years, and was interacting with the fan base here, before Twitter, before Facebook, before players actually interacted with the fans. I have always been very appreciative of the fact that he did so, and I have always tried to reciprocate that support wherever I could.

Putting Out A Fire

So there is a link circulating around the interwebs today about a possible trade rumor for Ryan Torain.

Seriously? And people are buying it? Just because some guy sits at home dreaming up cockamamie ideas, doesn’t make them worth listening to, does it?

Let’s look at some facts surrounding the incident:

Buchanon Set To Return?

When Phillip Buchanon was re-signed by the Washington Redskins this offseason, it came with the caveat that he was first going to have to serve a four-game suspension. Little was offered up as an explanation then, and not much since, all Redskins Nation knows is that the suspension was for a violation of the league’s … Read more
