It’s Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season. The Washington Commanders will face the New York Giants at Met Life Stadium.
Washington is coming off of a narrow victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
Here is a list of both teams’ inactives:
Washington Commanders
WR Dax Milne
DE Chase Young
CB Benjamin St-Juste
OL Chris Paul
LB De’Jon Harris
New York Giants
WR Kenny Golladay
CB Adoree’ Jackson
CB Darnay Holmes
G Shane Lemieux
G Joshua Ezeudu
TE Lawrence Cager
LB Elerson Smith
Commanders Notables
Chase Young is getting closer but is still not quite ready. Might as well play it safe when the rest of the defensive line is playing well. Especially when Washington has a bye next week and sitting him actually nets two extra weeks of recovery. Also, MetLife’s playing surface isn’t much better than the field at FedEx.
Antonio Gibson could have been a scratch today as he didn’t practice much this week due to a foot injury. He eked into the lineup, possibly due to rushing for almost 150 yards the last time these two teams faced each other.
Practice squad wide receiver Alex Erickson was elevated to the active roster for Sunday’s game. He will handle punt return duties with Dax Milne still nursing a foot injury.
Benjamin St. Juste will definitely be missed in the secondary.
Giants Notables
The Giants secondary is also banged up with both Darnay Holmes and Adoree’ Jackson unable to go today.
This is the first time this season that Washington are facing a team with more players that are injured, than the Commanders have.
On the bright side for the Giants, they get three players back today that have been previously sidelined. Linebacker Azeez Ojulari and defensive back Tony Jefferson return to the lineup, as does right tackle Evan Neal, who has been out for four-games with a knee injury.
