Trying To Get Back On To The Horse

Hello there faithful reader, I have been away for a few weeks. This was not an intentional layoff, but it was one born of necessity.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have been shacked up in a hospital. I just had open heart surgery – a triple bypass to be exact.

If you follow me on Twitter – you’ll already know that, as I have been posting quite regularly about the entire ordeal.

If you don’t – then please do. It’s a new Twitter account as I am still unable to login to my old account or convince Twitter to help me do so.

As for the ordeal itself, the surgery went well. Bypass surgery is pretty invasive and it will be a good few months before I am recovered “fully”. But it went as well as can be expected, and I am fortunate to be able to type that sentence.

Without getting too emotional or soppy about it all – love the ones you love. Every day. There are no do overs. Make the best of the one life you get, because it can come to an end at any time.

Name Change

I missed writing about the name change, and a couple of other tidbits, but as I near the start of my twentieth season running this website, I have learned that spit happens. And that that’s okay.

For the record, I don’t love the name, but I will always love the team.

I look forward to getting back on the horse, and writing more about the Washington Commanders.

Hail!
