Where To Put Your Money
If you’re a Washington fan, it’s tempting to buy into the game hype. Taylor Heinicke comes home to play in the stadium he dreamed of playing in and blah, blah, blah.
He’s facing Aaron Rodgers. The guy who dismantles defenses, and gets to face a defense that has not been able to get it together yet in 2021.
There is just too big a cloud still hanging over the WFT right now. There are too many extra-curricular distractions. This isn’t going to be the game that Washington breaks out of their funk. Take the Pack. Even with the touchdown-plus spread.
Green Bay -8.5 Over 48.5
Hopkins Released
Washington Football Team kicker Dustin Hopkins saw a seven year run come to a close yesterday, when he was quietly released.
A recent run of inconsistency is likely the reason for the change. Hopkins missed a 42-yard field goal against the Kansas City Chiefs last week – a kick every NFL kicker has to make. He missed two extra points the week before. That’s likely when Coach Ron Rivera started thinking about making the change.
