With just five selections this year, the Washington Commanders 2025 draft focused on finding contributors at critical positions. Headlined by first-round pick Josh Conerly Jr., the Commanders added talent at offensive tackle, cornerback, wide receiver, linebacker, and running back.
“It was a great night for us, for everybody here. We got a lot better and we got a lot of guys who we consider Commanders,” said General Manager Adam Peters. “Really proud of our process and identifying the right types of guys. Just couldn’t be happier with the young men that we brought in today.”
Commanders 2025 Draft: Day One
Round 1, Pick 29 – Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
The Commanders kicked off their Washington Commanders 2025 draft class by selecting athletic left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon. A former five-star recruit, Conerly offers elite footwork and strong pass protection skills. He gives Washington a potential cornerstone to anchor the offensive line for years.

Round 2, Pick 61 – Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
Washington stayed focused on premium positions by grabbing Trey Amos. He is a physical cornerback from Ole Miss. Amos brings size, aggression, and sticky man-to-man coverage ability, offering immediate depth in the secondary with starting upside.

Round 4, Pick 128 – Jaylin Lane, WR, Virginia Tech
In Round 4 of the Washington Commanders 2025 draft, the team added playmaking wide receiver Jaylin Lane. Known for his electric speed and versatility as a slot weapon, Lane gives Washington’s offense a dynamic boost and should compete for touches right away.

Washington closed out their 2025 class with Jacory Croskey-Merritt. He is a powerful, no-nonsense runner out of Arizona. His north-south style and knack for goal-line situations could help solidify the depth chart behind the team’s top backs.
