Week 6 NFL Picks

Once I get about five or six games into a season, I start to gamble with a little bit more fervor. After all, you have a much better sense of all 32 teams’ relative ability by this point. I generally only gamble in two veins – football picks, and online casino games. So when I’m … Read more

Trent Williams: #WallpaperWednesday

Still feeling down over the tough loss to the Falcons? Maybe a new Redskins wallpaper for your desktop will cheer you up. Personally, I think the offensive line has played well to date this season – perhaps even better than expected. After all, 40% of the line has virtually no NFL experience. Run blocking has … Read more

Falcon Anecdote

I remember years ago when the site was part of the Fan 2 Fan Alliance and every week, fans of other teams would raid our message board. It was weekly pandemonium. The internet was different then. Sonny Jurgensen: Throwback Thursday

In light of the Redskins’ match-up against their division rival Eagles this week, it seemed like a good time to feature Redskins mainstay Sonny Jurgensen.

Jurgensen was drafted by Philadelphia, and played seven seasons there; before being traded to Washington for quarterback Norm Snead and cornerback Claude Crabbe. He was induced into the Pro Football Hall of Fame with the Class of 1983.

Mistakes Prove Costly For Redskins

You will often hear people remark that no one, single play defines a game, but it would be tough to deny that if you string even two or three really bad plays together, the result will be reflected negatively in the score more often than not. Such was the case on Thursday night in the Washington Redskins’ 32-21 loss to the New York Giants.

Obviously football is a complicated sport, and mistakes are going to happen on every play. That isn’t what we’re talking about. We’re talking about plays that are head-scratchers, or change the momentum of a game, or both as is often the case.
