2022 Schedule Wallpapers: Carson Wentz And Jahan Dotson

Today’s wallpapers are to acknowledge two more guys that could and should be a big part of the 2022 Washington Commanders offense – Carson Wentz and Jahan Dotson. Both are new to the team obviously, with Wentz coming over from the Colts and Dotson being chosen with the Commanders very first draft pick.

They join last week’s schedule wallpaper honorees – Terry McLaurin and Brian Robinson Jr. – on what promises to be an improved offensive attack.

Washington will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 – hoping to make history, and earn their first win as the Commanders. The past off-season was rife with noise for the organization; but come Sunday, the only thing on anyone’s mind will be what’s happening on the field.

Kerrigan Signs One Day Contract To Retire With Washington

The once prodigal son came home. Ryan Kerrigan signed a one-day contract with Washington, to announce his retirement from professional football. Despite spending last season with the division rival Philadelphia Eagles, Kerrigan wanted to close out his career with the team that originally drafted him in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Washington took the “Heartbreak Kid” with the 16th overall pick out of Purdue. He made an impact from the very start. There was something tangibly different about him. A quiet confidence. A non-stop motor.

He would start every single game in his first eight seasons, and he would play for Washington for ten years. He was named to four Pro Bowls, and finished behind only Dexter Manley in career sacks (95.5). He registered a sack total in double digits four different times.

Holy Cow! Happy Twentieth Birthday To The-Hogs.net!

In some ways it is hard to even fathom, but today marks the Twentieth Anniversary of me starting my little area on the internet about the Washington Redskins – now Commanders. I can’t believe it has been twenty years already. It seems like just yesterday. And while my family life doesn’t permit me quite the time that I used to spend on this site, I am extremely proud to have lasted this long.

When I started the site, I was told that the average length of time that “a site like this” would last for, was two years. That has been exceeded ten fold.

Washington Add Names To Selection Process For 90 Greatest

When Washington announced earlier this week that they had a new patch to commemorate the franchise’s 90th season, they also released a list of names that fans would be able to choose from, to have a new 90 Greatest list.

Originally in 2002, Washington came up with 70 players on the 70th Anniversary, that comprised the first Greatest list. In 2012, they added 10 more players to commemorate the 80th Anniversary.

Of course it stands to reason that in 2022, 10 players will again be added to the annuls of Washington history, and take their place on the 90 Greatest.
