RGIII
RGIII Love Fest
It isn’t just the fans in #RedskinsNation that are pawing over their new quarterback, and gushing about his every move, even the ‘experts’ can’t keep their hands to themselves.
John Madden decided to wax poetic to Sirius XM NFL radio yesterday about how Griffin was, “… the best player in the NFL today.”
RGIII On Cover of SI
Seen the new Sports Illustrated yet? I know this might be hard to believe, but it has RGIII on it!! This is the cover of the East Coast Edition. Jason Campbell was the last Redskins player to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated – in August of 2009. HTTR Follow me on Twitter … Read more

All Green And Wrinkly
Remember when you were a wee lad and your running joke when somebody would say, “I feel like a million bucks,” was to quickly quip, “Yeah! All green and wrinkly! Nanny nanny poo poo.”
Well I’m all green and wrinkly this week, because I feel like a million bucks. Less than 48 hours removed from the 2012 Washington Redskins opener, and the debut of one Robert Griffin III, I STILL can’t get the smile off of my face.
Let me first clarify something, I am not an optimist – at least not by nature. I’m much more of a pragmatist with a hint of realism for the most part. I take my sports seriously – I take my Redskins even more seriously than that. I believe in supporting your team no matter what, but not necessarily blindly either. I am used to tempering both enthusiasm and malaise as a fan, but alas this week, I cannot temper my enthusiasm. We finally got ourselves an all-world player.
Training Camp Pics
Earlier in the week, we asked our fellow THNers to please send us in some of their photos if they went to training camp this week.
Here are some great photos that we received from Mozelle Meyers, @Sportsgal5_2000 on Twitter, and a die hard Washington Redskins fan:

Redskins 2012 Schedule Wallpaper – RGIII Style!
Well with training camp opening next week, and rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III having just signed his rookie contract, it seemed appropriate to start putting together a schedule wallpaper for the 2012 season.
OBVIOUSLY, RGIII is the focus of just about everyone’s attention – both in and out of Washington, so I put together this optimistic spin on the Redskins upcoming season – their first with Griffin under center – and called it ‘Invitation to the Playoffs.’
RGIII Officially Signs
Perhaps the most long awaited contract signature in the last two decades for Redskins Nation, finally happened.
Robert Griffin III signed what has been reported as a 4-year, $21M+ guaranteed contract. Not bad for a 22-year old – it had to feel like winning the 6 million dollar jackpot at Party Casino. Now that the ink on his rookie contract has dried and Griffin is locked up, it’s time to start settling into his franchise quarterback role on the football field.
Griffin On The Tonight Show
Well Redskin fans, you know you’ve landed at least a bonafide potential superstar franchise quarterback, when he’s going to be on the Tonight Show before he’s ever played a down of NFL football.
Tonight’s show will feature Robert Griffin III and Hugh Laurie.
Tuesday Hog Wash
As Redskin fans spent Monday pouring over article after article about the Redskins mini-camp that came to a close on Sunday, one thing that seems painfully obvious, Robert Griffin III blew the doors off of his first NFL on-field assignment.
Sunday was the first opportunity that the media were granted access to Mini-Camp, so all eyes were focused squarely on the new Redskins quarterback, and that usually means just one thing in Washington – scrutiny. And yet in a city that seems to love to hate as much as it loves to love, very few souls seem willing to venture out into that gentle abyss and rock the RGIII boat – at least not yet.
