Antonio Gibson ran for 64 yards in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. On 24 carries. That’s tough sledding. His two touchdowns were an integral part of Washington’s victory.
The second year receiver-turned-running-back had a solid game. Statistics don’t tell you everything. His first touchdown run was indicative of his effort levels. He made a couple of great blocks in passing situations as well. Something he is only just learning, being new to the position.
The 23-year old has been banged up the entire season with a shin injury, but he still hasn’t shut it down. Every week he goes out and plays hard.
He’s the subject of the #WallpaperWednesday this week. He earned it on effort alone.
