Today’s featured wallpaper is themed on Washington’s 2022 white jerseys.
The jerseys were accompanied by a burgundy helmet, with a satin finish, and featuring a gold center stripe. It also featured the “folded W” logo with a dark embossed outline.
Uniform Debut
These jerseys debuted in mid-August for the Commanders first preseason game. They yielded mixed reviews from fans.
Some-to-many felt that they too closely resembled other teams white uniforms – namely the Atlanta Falcons, and the Arizona Cardinals.
The jerseys also featured a patch to commemorate their 90th season.
They have a burgundy washington wordmark over the numbers, and those numbers use a “gradient lattice pattern”.
On the back, there is the same lattice style number, and the new round logo that is intended to honor the 1932 origin of the team and the military (the three stars).
They are in fact, a very plain set of uniforms. To many fans dismay, there was hardly a drop of gold in the jersey or pants. The only gold in the entire kit was the Nike symbol.
Home and Lock Screens
There are two ever so slightly different versions here for you to download – a Lock Screen version and a Home screen version. The Home screen version is “faded” so that your home screen icons can still be seen.
