First Look: Washington Vs Tennessee – Head-To-Head, Odds & More

The Washington Commanders were spanked at At&T Field on Sunday. They had their second division match-up in as many weeks and came away 25-10 losers to the Dallas Cowboys.

This week, they face the Tennessee Titans who are coming off of a gritty 24-17 divisional win over the Indianapolis Colts. It was the Titans second consecutive win after dropping their first two games. Their 2-2 division record has them sitting tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars atop the AFC South.

The Commanders (1-3) on the other hand, are already two back of the 3-1 New York Giants and 3-1 Dallas Cowboys, and three back of the undefeated 4-0 Philadelphia Eagles.

So how is the match-up shaping up?

Head-To-Head

Washington and Tennessee have only faced each other 13 times. Washington have won 6 of them (6-7-0).

Washington have won three of the last five, but three of them were decided by a field goal or less.

They have not played each other since 2018, when the Titans won 25-16 at Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. The game was closer than it appeared as Tennessee got a touchdown on a Malcolm Butler interception return on the very last play of the game.

Blaine Gabbert (7 of 11, 101 yards) came in for Marcus Mariota (10 of 13, 110 yards) in the game and got the win. Josh Johnson (13 of 23, 153 yards) was the losing quarterback of record for Washington.
