The Washington Commanders just couldn’t put it together on Sunday. They suffered a demoralizing 36-27 loss to the Detroit Lions. In doing so, they dropped to 1-1 on the season.
The Philadelphia Eagles on the other hand, are coming off a strong 24-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Jalen Hurts threw one touchdown pass, and ran for two more touchdowns. The Beagles are now 2-0 in 2022.
So how is this week’s upcoming NFC East match-up, shaping up?
Head-To-Head
Washington and Philadelphia have squared off 174 times. Washington have won 88 of them (88-81-5).
The Eagles took both divisional match-ups last season. Washington took both games the year before.
Their last meeting was a 20-16 victory for Philadelphia in Week 17 of the 2021 season.
This game was perhaps more infamous for what happened off the field, than what happened on it. Eagles fans waiting for Jalen Hurts to exit after the game, fell onto the field when a railing in the corner of FedEx Field gave way. Four of the people are now suing for “emotional and physical damages.”
If you’re an Eagles fan, you’re already clearly damaged, aren’t you?
