Wallpaper Wednesday: McLaurin, Wentz And Dotson

Today’s wallpapers are to acknowledge three guys that really put it together against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. That allowed the Commanders to come away with a 28-22 victory, and a 1-0 record.

Carson Wentz threw four touchdowns. No Washington quarterback has ever done that in their debut.

Jahan Dotson pulled down two touchdowns. No Washington receiver has ever done that in their debut.

Terry McLaurin? Well he was just doing Terry McLaurin things when he snatched a 49-yard touchdown. He only caught two balls but the 49-yarder was the game’s longest play.

The Offense

These three will obviously play a huge part in the offense this year, and may just decide the 2022 season’s fate.

It would be remiss not to mention the game that Curtis Samuel had also. He would have definitely been included, had the graphic not already been made.

The Numbers

Wentz finished 27 of 41 for 313 yards, with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Busy day. It wasn’t all good, but it was good enough.

After the game, Wentz said:

“You make a couple bad plays, it’s time to go fix it. It’s a tough stretch there to bounce back from, but guys did a good job. Everybody was rallying around each other, and obviously we got it done.”

McLaurin had 58 yards. He had the one touchdown of 49 yards, which was also the biggest play of the day.

Dotson caught 3 balls for 40 yards. Which makes it that much more impressive that two of them were touchdowns, including the game-winning one. His longest play was 24 yards.
