Hershey’s power play unit, currently ranked 15th in the loop, with a 17.8% sucess ratio, has converted on only 8-of-65 opportunities over the last 10 games (12.3%), after going 5-for-7 on opening night in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. On the other end of the special teams spectrum, the penalty kill has had issues of it’s own. That unit, ranked 28th in the league (24.6%), has allowed at least one power play goal in all 11 games this season, including five in the last two games.
