I believe we held the ball for 2:42 seconds in the 4th quarter. You can't win when your offense goes 3 and out in the 4th quarter after goaline stands by the defense. The offense is to blame for this loss. Period.

Do we even have hot reads? I never see Brunell making adjustments at the line of scrimmage and when was the last time we ran a slant pattern on an obvious blitz? We got killed by Lamont Jordan becuase he kept flaring out to the side of the blitz and no one was covering him in the flat because that ...

Does anyone know why Brunell never audibles and changes the play at the line of scrimmage? There were a ton of plays yesterday where it was obvious that the Raiders were going to blitz and Brunell never checked off to a hot route. Does he have the authority to do this?

By getting low, Portis avoids a lot of big hits which will pay off in the long run when he is still starting in the NFL and making plays. When he's low, he can't get hit as hard from linebackers who are bigger than him. I think it's strategic and will help him play more productive years in the ...

Lavar was great and he fed off the crowd who was ecstatic to see him on the field. However, my concern is whether he will continue to play. This was the 49ers, the worst offense in the league. The Giants have a much better offense and we'll see if Coach Williams will feel comfortable putting him in ...

LaVar has been here a lot longer than Greg Williams and has played well despite how bad our team has been. Why should we doubt him when he says he doesn't know why he's not playing, why should we assume that he's the one to blame?

Holdman is a liability, as said earlier. In the game yesterday, he was constantly being blocked as the ball was run to his side, and when the ball went away from him, he never came over and made a tackle. Good defensive players get out of their blocks and make plays. Even if they don't get off their ...

While the officiating hasn't been very good, the important thing is that it has been fairly even. While we have lost some calls, we have also benefited from some calls and no calls. The penalties against Denver in the end put us in a position to tie the game when we were clearly out of it. Reviewing ...

redskins 56 is right on the money. Gibbs still has not shown that he does not deserve critisizm. His offense was terrible through the first 56 minutes and we didn't even sustain a drive that got us within field goal range! Brunell was terrible, sure he made crisp 5 yard throws, but that does nothing ...

Brunell is still not a good quarterback. He got lucky that Roy Williams fell asleep on those long throws. Sanatana Moss is a playmaker, but now teams are going to be more aware of him. It'll be interesting to see what we're able to do with teams keeping more of an eye out on Moss. I'm still not sold ...

I agree. If Brunell isn't hurt this year, then why did he skip his first pass when he came in Sunday? He's washed up and bad. Look for a painful game Monday night with Brunell at the helm. Sure he threw for over 300 last year, but he sucked the first 3 quarters before he got lucky and gardner pulled ...

Brunell didn't look that much different than he did last year. His first pass he bounced to the receiver, his long passes were lofted up for grabs, and he completed 3 passes to receivers on the line of scrimmage. He made some "smart" plays last year too, like throwing the ball away or completing a 5 ...

Thank you die cowboy die for your analysis. It was acurate and telling of what actually happened in the game. Ramsey drove us from the two and gave us the field position advantage back. While we didn't score on that drive, we did gain an edge in field position which is critical for a team that doesn ...

Another problem with having all three of these guys as our QB core is their price. We will now be paying all of our QB's starting QB salaries. If we really needed a QB, we could've drafted one in the lower rounds (Kyle Orton, Stefan LeFors) who we wouldn't have to pay as much and who in two years ...

DLine is also a need we didn't address. I agree we should've looked for DLine, but we also need an impact player on offense and we passed up arguably the best player in the draft. We could've drafted DLine istead of a FB in the later rounds.

I'm not saying that Rogers isn't good, I'm just saying ...

Skip Bayless said on Cold Pizza this morning that the Redskins were winners in the draft because they got a "shut down" corner and the best quarterback in the draft in his opinion.

Skip Bayless obviously doesn't know the Redskins or their needs and he doesn't seem to understand that there is no ...

Mock Draft

ESPN.com's mock draft has us drafting Carlos Rodgers with our number 9 pick and Jason Campbell with our 25 pick.

Gibbs isn't going to be around long so why would he try and build for the future? We need impact help for Ramsey to throw to, not to replace him. The Skins really need to keep their ...

The Skins should just use their 9 pick to get a corner and their 25 pick to get a wr/te. if they trade up, they will be wasting too many picks, one unproven player is not worth five unproven players.

The Skins need to get rid of Vinny and get a real GM!

Anyone think that maybe this is a way for the Skins to get Matt Jones without looking silly using their 9 pick? The man is a football player, tall and fast and definitely could be a downfield threat and everyone knows we need all the receiver help we can get. Groomed under Gibbs he could be a great ...
