I want to know

If this team was coached by anybody other than Joe Gibbs, would you call for their heads on a pike for this utterly rancid season?

Be honest please.

For the record, I want Gibbs fired....as general manager, he is in way over his head but he needs to bring an edge back next year.

I'm sorry but this team lacks the singular presence, a leader who can kick their butts and whip them into shape. We need someone like Brian Mitchell, Ken Harvey, even Antonio Pierce - an unquestioned leader.

If he shapes up and enjoys multiple consecutive years of maturity, I would like to hope ...

Anyone ever remember...

The first time they paid attention to Redskins football?

For me - it was during the Ritchie Petibone era. First game I remember watching on the telly was a 13-6 loss to the Rams...at least that is what I remember. All I remember was that the Redskins were ahead 6-0, then it became 7-6 and then 13 ...

I dunno, I feel terrible about calling for Gibbs to step down.

One of them needs to step down - Gibbs the GM or Gibbs the coach because it looks like both cannot coexist and I hope it's Gibbs the GM that goes.

Russ Grimm for head coach and draft notes

Seriously, I love Gibbs but he has lost this team. No one is stepping as a leader and he is no longer involved with any particular aspect of the job and his blind loyalty to Brunell is insane - the playoffs are dead, we need to see if Campbell was worth not having a 1st rounder this year.

Hence ...

Major difference

Unfortunately, Snyder has absolute control of the team.

Abe Pollin held the reins over Jordan.

I'm afraid this is Snyder's team until Six Flags drags him under and forces him to sell.

Not gonna happen though, it's his until he dies.

Solution to our problems

Hire a real general manager.

A good one of course. We managed to dodge a bullet in Bruce Allen if his performance in Tampa Bay is to be judged.

Seriously though, several other things.

Either Saunders or Gregg Williams leaves - Both are using their positions as stop gaps to position ...

Only other team that could rival Houston as "doctor's orders" would be Oakland. That team is just ugly right now.
