We did kick out Michael Jordan...

Post by StuckinNC »

Honestly, After a 2-5 and the money involved in the team, stadium, and ticket holders, it's time that snyder be accountable. His methods has lead him to only two appearances in the playoffs, one of them without the head coach that got them there. He spends the big bucks on the players that are provided by the $20 parking passes for the $150 ticket holders that can barely see the jumbotron.

If we fired Michael Jordan from washington basketball, why the hell are we waiting to oust senor snyder from his luxury box built upon the talent of Danny Wuerfell, Steve Spurrier, and Chad morton.

Honestly people....

Major difference

Unfortunately, Snyder has absolute control of the team.

Abe Pollin held the reins over Jordan.

I'm afraid this is Snyder's team until Six Flags drags him under and forces him to sell.

Not gonna happen though, it's his until he dies.

Oust Snyder???

Last time I checked, he still OWNS the team.

Do you have about $1.5 BILLION to buy them? Not like Dan would sell anyway.

Also, I believe Gibbs and co. have made all the personnel decisions since Gibbs took over.

Good lust ousting Snyder!

I actually wish Dan would say something to Gibbs about sticking with Mark.

alright, Ill be the 1st to admit that Snyder has done some bonehead things in the past and signed some people for alot that sucked BUUUUUUUUT would'nt you rather have an owner that gives a sh*& and will spend the money. I mean I know personally i would rather have an owner who will go out and people that he thinks are an upgrade rather than an owner who is so cheap that they wont go get anyone (orioles).

Who is the "we" that will be firing Snyder? I'm always suspicious of those collective words when it comes to responsibility.

Like I said in anothe thread, Snyder was the problem but not since Gibbs has been back. Gibbs is the President of Football Ops and the Head Coach. I am sure that one of the stipulations that he made when he came back was control over personnel. I seriously do not think that Gibbs would have come back if he didn't have access to the checkcard to buy his own "groceries".

These personnel decisions, IMO, all fall on Gibbs and his staff. If they can go out a over pay Archuleta a ton of money when they had a "core guy" in Ryan Clark they could have kept for a lot less that can cover and not to mention keep Sean Taylor's head in the game (according to a un-named Redskin wife) then that is poor personnel management.

Bingo. Well said. Snyder is no more responsible for the horrible play on the field than the waterboy.

But its my opinion that Gibbs bought into Snyders ways of doing things?
Gibbs didn't have anyone to ease him into the NFL other than who else? Danny and Vinny. He loves those guys to death and I believe he bought into this whole free agency shopping spree foolishness. For every good players you get a bad one and for every player we lose 200 draft picks.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

I don't buy that. Joe Gibbs did not sit out blindly and not see the mistakes that Vinny and Danny were making. Also, there are "football guys" (Bethard, Ron Wolf, etc..) out there that he could have bought in to help him. I think that Gibbs is too smart to buy into Danny's and Vinny's way of thinking. You telling me that Gibbs bought into it enough to not keep the "core guys" (Pierce, Clark, Smoot) that were very good in this defense for less money??

Also, how can you love guys that are performing to their abilities for you? Joe Gibbs does not have the passion for "Football" that he once had and it is showing in the way he is handling this team and his decision making....

Gibbs thought that after his HOF election, the way his Nascar has been that coming back to the Skins would be easy. NOT! Gibbs just needs to either do one thing or the other, either be the head coach and leave the personal decisions to someone else, or quit being the HC and stay in the front office, because doing both is doing nothing but making him and the Skins the laughing stock of the NFL.
