Russ Grimm for head coach and draft notes
Seriously, I love Gibbs but he has lost this team. No one is stepping as a leader and he is no longer involved with any particular aspect of the job and his blind loyalty to Brunell is insane - the playoffs are dead, we need to see if Campbell was worth not having a 1st rounder this year.
Hence, I call for Russ Grimm to take over. Bring back that Hogs mentality that made him the terror in the trenches.
All of this though is second to bringing in a real GM.
Oh, and here's our 2007 draft
1
2 - traded to Jets
3 - traded to Falcons
4 - traded to 49ers
5
6
7
If we're lucky, our pick will be very high, there will be a coveted player, and we'll trade down to get more picks. This is assuming that Cerrato doesn't get star struck.

Also, rumor is that we traded our 1st round pick to Denver... sort of.
If our pick is lower we have to swap with Denver.
That's just what I've heard, and I pray it isn't so. That would be an unbelieveable rip off for the Broncos.

Yeah, what a buffoon Gibbs is! I think he's the only coach in the NFL who hasn't won a Superbowl in the last 3 years (assuming we don't this year). How long is this insanity going to continue!!!!! And we won so many over he 11 he was gone. Then of course in his first stint of 12 years (or so) he only won 3 Superbowls. What a loser.
Let's can him quick, that'll fix everything.

This has been repeatedly addressed in several threads. Why don't you read some of them?

The short answer (I believe) is that we only trade if both of our picks are in the 20's. Probably won't be that bad of a deal even if it works out that way, and from the looks of it it's not likely to

there is not even a remotely non-laughable defense for gibbs keeping his job past this season, so sure, take a look at grimm. williams and saunders should obviously be the first to be evaluated though. we want as much continuity as we can without making the sacrifice of holding onto a pathetic coach.

So basically it is laughable to want to actually stick with a staff and team for more than a coupla years. If we keep changing coaches we keep changing systems and keep cycling players. The players never jell and the coaches never develop rapport with the players because by the third year you can them. And we keep doing that until we win a Superbowl. Now that is laughable. I was totally expecting a wink. This idea is insane.
I'm totally frustrated too. But I think we need to develop our team and not make any major changes for a few years. The lesson is to N-O-T do as you propose. That has been our carousel. And Gibbs has certainly earned that opportunity.

It appears that Gibbs just isn't up to making this work. His blind devotion and his inability to allow the offensive coordinator choose HIS players is whats really the problem, put Collins in he won't do any worse than Brunell and also use Campbell in a few series to get his feet wet. We can go over things all year however something has to be done and it has to be drastic. This character guys and core player crap is getting tired.

Maybe we could trade Brunell Campbell and Gibbs to Pittsburgh for Grimm

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I say we drop a few other posters in this thread to have a decent board.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
I just think everyone is jumping off the bandwagon way to soon. Gibbs will turn it around. I would put money on the fact the skins after the bye week will be a different team. I think we get some folks healthy and remember we turned it around last year when we played Dallas. Guess who we have next...Thats right, good ole Dallas. Prediction. skins by two touchdowns... you heard it here first.

Let's trade the whole club for the Patriots. Financially, that must make sense for New England.
After that, I'd like to trade the Isle of Wight for Honolulu.
Finally, we could swap the bandwagon for a nice reliable Toyota.
And why do we think that Russ Grimm would be a good head coach?
