At this rate, Merriweather isn't going to get paid for his 2013 campaign. I think he's just got old habits that are what got him into the NFL, and it's just going to be too late to try to change them. Given the quality of his play this year, I can't see him being on our roster in 2014 anyway.

I ...

I can't change it. It might offend the African-Americans. Or the Natives.

Commonality of usage matters. Where the comparison to other racial epithets falls short for me is in that the first thing most people think of when they hear "Redskins" is the professional football club. The same cannot be said for any of the other terms to which Redskins is being compared ...

Giants Sign Ryan Torain

Ryan Torain - RB - Giants

Giants agreed to terms with RB Ryan Torain.
Torain has been out of the league since the Redskins cut him on the heels of a 3.4 YPC average last December. He's a power back similar to Andre Brown while Kregg Lumpkin is a superior receiver and special teamer. Torain is ...

Cowboys Sign Former Skin Anthony Armstrong

Anthony Armstrong - WR - Cowboys

Cowboys signed WR Anthony Armstrong.
With Miles Austin (hip, hamstring) and Kevin Ogletree (concussion) in doubt for Week 13, the Cowboys are scraping for depth. Armstrong has already spent time with the Redskins, Dolphins and Jags this season. He'll slide in ...

Yea, so was the offense which featured Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders, but the team still needed an Art Monk. There has to be more to it than meets the eye test.

I wouldn't mind the Redskins playing for 60 minutes as opposed to 30 minutes. Seems like they've taken their foot off the accelerator.

I find it impossible to criticize Jim Haslett given the personnel he now has to work with. Then again, he wasn't given much to work with from the beginning. Even before all of the injuries and suspensions the safety corps was highly suspect. It puts too much on the cornerbacks when there is no pass ...

He isn't? Last yr, only 6 teams had 2 WR's with 800+ yds. We were 1 of them. AA had 871. 3 teams had a #2 WR with more yds.

The Redskins also passed 65% of the plays last season, largely because they couldn't run the ball effectively. It stands to reason the team will run more and pass less ...

he’s stiff, a limited as a pass rusher and simply plays too high when asked to anchor.

That would render Sumner pretty useless in a 3-4 base defense. All the brute strength in the world doesn't equate to football skill at the professional level. Defensive linemen have to play with leverage and ...

I'm on the side of free markets. Which means the government should stay out of it. The Federal courts have zero Constitutional authority to make any ruling on this. If the owners have the market power they should "win" and if the players do they should.

Jones would have Rex Grossman breaking him in. Or John Beck.

Julio Jones makes about as much sense as drafting a punter at #10. Jones will be an impact player for a team with a quarterback. That doesn't mean the Redskins should trade the pick if Robert Quinn is there. The Redskins need impact players.
