Urgent: VetSkinsFan

Post by Countertrey »

It is with shock and great sadness that we announce that our friend, Dave Roberts, known here as VetSkinsFan, has passed away. We are not familiar with the particulars, but we do know that this was unexpected. He is survived by his wife, Tara, and his two children, David Jr, and Matthew. Please keep them in your thoughts, as they mourn their loss.

VetSkinsFan has been a member of the THN family since July of 2007, and was a respected and active member of the forums. His insights and sharp commentary have become a welcome sight. He had served as a member of the Staff for about a year, as well. He will be missed.

As we become aware of more information, we’ll pass it along.

please extend our feelings to his family

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It's not a problem. He was a good friend and he'll definitely be missed.

Not to derail the thread too much b/c I know how easily that can happen but I'll try to drop by some (already posted my thoughts on VY which Dave I think shared some of before). I'm reasonably familiar w/ the Redskins via Dave. He'd taken to getting my thoughts on things you guys did lately. But my home so to speak will be on titansreport (use to be titanscentral). You guys are more than welcome to come by there as well if you want some regular football discussions. It's not all about the Titans. We've got some pretty knowledgable football fans over there and I'd love to get some of you guys' thoughts on things (like McNabb who I use to ask Dave about).

Very sad news indeed. Had mad respect for this man's passion for our beloved Redskins. I will miss him.

To his family and friends, may God comfort you during these trying times.

RIP brother.

EULOGY FOR A VETERAN

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint of snow

I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain

When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I DID NOT DIE
