For anyone who's never attempted to kick field goals it's a hell of a lot more difficult than it looks. Missing the mark by 1 inch on the ball changes the direction of flight by 3 feet for every 10 yards the ball travels if there is no wind. It's not much of a wonder that kickers have no job ...
