A big FB fits in on special teams, short yardage situations, and goal line situations. right now, we don't have anyone big enough to jam it in the end zone or gain the yards on third and two.

We have to get a fix for the problem.

I cant wait for the first fake punt where he tosses one twenty yards for a first down.

Of when he comes up from a Field Goal snap to toss a fifteen yarder for a touchdown!

I agree with the masses--Tupa was a great pickup!

there was some talk on the postgame shows that Taylor amy have missed/been late to a team meeting this week, as well as being sick earlier in the week. Probably at least part of the reason he wasn't in there more was to send a message to him.

Champsturf is on the money. Don't wear out Portis if Betts can get the job done.

Looking forward to a little more downfield passing as the TB defense gets more and more tired.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!

You guys are being too optimistic. Portis will get plenty of carries, but this is a GOOD Tampa Defense. Portis will get his carries, but I'm not sure he'll break 100.

This will be a tough game. We'll get a better feel for what Gibbs has in his bag from this one.

I thought that both 'starting' QBs looked rough. I waas hoping that they would be a little more effective, considering that the gameplanning was pretty canned.

Defense, I thought, showed some promise. Still worried about the D-line, but a least they're getting some pressure into the backfield ...

Hasselbeck looked EXCELLENT on the final drive! Ran the offense very well, threw some nice passes, managed the team like a winner.

I think he just cemented his place on the team. And if Brunell and Ramsey don't look any better on Saturday, he might get a start in week 3!!!

It'll be interesting to see who starts working with the first line at RT now. Winey? Isn't he nicked up? Elisara? Kenyatta Jones when Randy Thomas gets back?

Lucky we have a REAL offensive line coach this year to work this problem.

First offensive TD of the year!

Hassleback to Gari Scott ofr 33 yards and a TD! Nice fade route and a well thrown ball...

Yes, I know, it's against the backups. but I sure hope Hassleback gets to stay with the team. That was the best-looking pass I've seen yet tonight!

I could care less if he ever talks to the media, as long as this is an indication of how he's going to play for us!!!!

Hopefully, we'll see him lined up with the first-string D next week, so we can get a look at him against the starters.

NOT!

I don't think we'll see Jimoh on the final roster this season.

FFA, it's an ESPN article.

I'm just surprised it was as positive as it was. As articles from ESPN go, it was actually pretty unbiased and honest.

I HATE to agree with an issue that Gambit raises, but I gotta agree--at the end of this season, we may ALL be standing around asking "Why was it again that Coles didn't get that toe fixed in the off-season?"

I felt comfortable in January when all the reports wre coming out about how it was going ...

Pretty interesting to see a writer from Dallas rank Redskins' moves as the two most influential in the off-season.

Also interesting to see that he ranked the acquisition of Collins in the Top Ten/Eleven. I would have ranked bringing in Sapp and Adams to the D-line as a bigger move for the Raiders ...

I agree with you, SFIR, he held the ball way too long last year. The biggest part of that, I think, was the schemes he was giving to work with. I'm hoping that he'll listen closely and LEARN during training camp from this staff.

He definitely has the skills to be a starter--he just doesn't have ...

I just cast my vote for Brunell, even though I'm a big fan of Patrick, and like his long-term potential. However, at this point, I see Brunell winning the starting job, based on his experience, and Patrick learning more about the NFL (from a proven coaching staff, this time) from the sidelines.

I ...
