I agree with Chris...we're paying for years of mismanagment, and that's ok...but we need to make sure that we don't keep the problem going...

so, if it's really that bad, and we have to get rid of a lot of people, ok, that sucks, and we won't do as much as expected next year. but we'll also have ...

good post--i don't necessarily agree with your conclusion, but you make good arguments...

if coach gibbs doesn't think campbell is ready, then there's no doubt, he shouldn't play. I just hope that the decision about whether or not he is ready will be made in light of some of the success that ...

You build championship teams, you don't just luck into them. It helps to have consistent quarterback play when trying to win a super bowl....look at the two superbowl teams...both of their quartbacks (one in his second year, imagine that) are playing extremely well, and there teams are doing well ...

Alright, I didn't think it was throwing someone under the bus to point out they played poorly. And if you don't think Brunell, as well as others, played poorly towards the end of the year, then you have different standards than i do...no worries...

yes, the whole team wins games, the whole team ...

well, it seems to me that you are implicitly trying to use statistics to prove your point as well...i don't really know what other criticisms have been made recently about brunell other than his age, but they might be frustration more than anything...

as for those stats, hassleback had two tds ...

Yes, I don't think anyone is trying to minimize Brunell's contribution. But there's no doubt that towards the end of the year he started slowing down. People are often fond of comparing Brunell's numbers to Hassleback's, but look at their last game. We lost to a Seattle team without Alexandaer ...

Continued Gibbs: "We see a lot in practice. My impression is that he's very accurate. I think he's going to be a guy that can really roam with a football. I think he's going to make plays with his feet. I think he has a sense of what the pocket is. He'll slide. He's going to be hard to sack because ...

Coach Gibbs also didn't use a shotgun formation before. Times change. Coach Gibbs is doing what he has to make the team competitive, and part of that is the quarterback position. Oh, and by the way, we didn't sweep the Giants, only the Cowboys and Eagles.

There should be a competition in camp ...

I'm psyched about this hiring. What's great about it is that you know, based on the last few years, is that Saunders is a run first offensive coordinator, which is great for us. I'm hoping he can really put into place a good blocking scheme that takes advantage of our size.

What's most exciting ...

Cooley is not a tight end in our system, and neither is White. My point is that if White can be a solid H-back, Cooley can be used more as a receiver...his blocking at the line has improved, and he has pass catching abilities...so, if white can play the h-back spot, cooley can be shifted....

While a second receiver would be great, I also don't think it's out biggest concern.

I like that campbell is starting, but even if it is Brunell, the offensive woes I think are more about playcalling then talent. I mean, I'm not extremely excited about david patten, but there's no way that you ...

If we cut lavar, then who starts at weakside linebacker? Are we excited about the prospect of warrick holdman holding down that side again? I'll tell you what, I am not.

Getting rid of lavar is fine, if it genuinely makes the team better. If you release him for the cap room, then you're going to ...

If that's true about brunell, then that's a problem, and they need to get together and work that out.

Ok, well that argument would suggest that Spurrier is a worse coach than Marty, since he turned Marty's team into a worse team. The point is the talent differential between Spurrier's team and Coach Gibb's team. Determining that Spurrier ruined a possibly good team just means that he created a bag ...

I agree a GM would be great. I'd also like to see an offensive coordinator. At the very least, it leaves offensive control in Coach Gibbs' hands, while infusing a new perspective, and having someone who can coach up a young QB.

Having said that, there do have to be some changes on the field as ...
