Joe Gibbs is the best living football coach. (No arguments, please, about Vince Lombardi or Amos Alonzo Stagg!).
OK, I've now said that for the 10th or 11th time.
Evidence? Look at this group of players become a team. Yes, they are still missing a modern Art Monk and Ricky Sanders; no, they're not completely built yet. But compare this team with any that Norv Turner coached. And consider the collection of players gathered into in Redskin uniforms by <the college coach who shall not be named>.

Umm, I'm going to post just so I don't get accused of only coming around when things are bad....
first things first--go skins...this improbable but amazing playoff run is doing a lot to restore confidence in the organization, and coaches gibbs and williams get all the credit for that (of course, including the players)
next, i'm not sure if i'm a gibbs-hater by your definition or not...i've always said that this team is improving and is better than anything we've seen in awhile. However, I've also always said it looks like we need an offensive coordinator, and I haven't seen anything that really changes my mind on that...
in any case, i'm watching the season from here on in with very cautious optimism...this team still has issues, but like other problems, i'm sure they'll get smoothed out...and if we make the playoffs, hey, there's no team in the nfc that i'm particularly scared of...we've already beaten seattle, chicago, and hopefully will beat the giants...that is potentially three division leaders...we should have beaten the bucs...that's another wild card team...so, if we make it, i think that we've got a great shot to do something...
anyway, whatever happens, i'm pretty happy with this season and the job done by the coaching staff...i have questions, but i'm never going to be able to get answers to them, so what do they matter? and i hope next year, we can improve even more, with a fresh new quarterback, some help on the d-line, and a more diversified offense...when that happens, i think coach gibbs is going to have to find some shelf space for a new piece of hardware....
