My draft wish

Post by Skinsfan55 »

Since my wish has been messed up badly so far I doubt this will come true...

But we need to try to trade up to get Issac Hilton and Chris Cooley, then we would have a great outlook for next season.

We have a 5th a 6th, Trotter, Garder, Taylor, McCants, Betts, Canidate, Ohalete, and all our picks next season available to trade... I hope we can do this, we'd be in great shape for next season...

You're right!

We don't need to pressure the QB, it doesn't matter WHERE he throws it, Taylor will bat it down/intercept it/ or knock it out of the reciever's hands!

As far as run D goes, Taylor is the fastest saftey of all time, and the best tackler to boot! He will instantly see a hand off and he will bolt towards the line and hammer the running back before he can even see the hole!

In fact, let's cut/trade all of our defensive players (except Taylor) to save money! Taylor is a one man army!

Skinsfan - thats your name, right?
How about supporting the team?
Rather than just lambasting them for picking 1 player over another.
Either that or change your name to Winslowfan and be done with it.

As soon as he signs Taylor is a Redskin. Winslow wont be for the forseable future.

Blah, blah, blah... I have the right to question to decisions of my favorite team. If you don't like it you can stick it :P

Shoot - why don't we have Taylor, the next coming of the Messiah, play all 22 positions - he can ya know!

Wow! You and I sure do think alike... while we're at it (Taylor playing all 22 positions) we should change the name to the Washington Taylors! That would get the Native American's off our back, AND make us the COOLEST named team in the NFL!

well taylor's no winslow...winslow can catch anything anyone throws to him, he'll have 0 dropped balls and he'll pancake any d-lineman that comes at him...in fact, he can throw the ball to himself, run and catch up to the ball and catch it over 6 defensive guys....damn skinsfan55, you're right...we shoulda got him instead

wow - great comeback, you've won me over.
Lets take a well improved offense, and improve it some more before we take an awful defense and improve that.
You need both sides of the team to win in this league.

yeah sorry bout that, im just angered by the fact that some people think that picking sean taylor was a bad thing. do you think joe gibbs would do a bad thing to his redskins? i dont and i know he didnt. our pick is done and im happy that taylor is here, i wouldve been happy if winslow was here too. as long as we do something to make this team a great one, im all for it

they couldn't keep from bing pushed back into the secondary on run plays.

And a safety like Taylor won't help the run defense... puh-lease. Having a guy who can cheat up to the line, or drop back... come on... why the bug over Taylor? So we didn't get Udeze... big whoop... we got a stud... just not the one you wanted... is that what this is about? And how could we have known that Udeze would fall as far as he did... that's a complete mystery to this draft... the fall of the defensive line prospects... maybe its because they weren't that deep in talent.

You surprise me Rich. All year we talked about the lack of run support from the safeties... now you're ignoring it and saying that it was completely on our line? And now you pull out this garbage about bailey cheating on a run play... yeah you know why... no safety to shore up the run... bad schemes. A guy who moaned all year that our defense wasn't half as bad as it played due to the COACHING and scheme suddenly feels different?

Somebody like you who understands defense should just understand a lot more implicitly what a safety like Taylor will mean to this 4-6 defense that Williams runs. Somebody who understands that EVERY draft pick is a crap shoot... should know that there are very few sure things. Taylor probably is... a lot more than udeze, and Troupe and Watson don't even belong in the same sentence...

Shoot - why don't we have Taylor, the next coming of the Messiah, play all 22 positions - he can ya know!

I'll settle for solidifying a position that has been a problem for a long, long time. Solidify a position that you and I personally whinced about week after week... solidify a secondary that HAD to watch for the run, but won't now that they have a real DC in there.

Statements like 'the next coming of the Messiah' are a little much. If someone posted that to you, you'd be offended that someone would over-generalize to the point of making such a ridiculous statement.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

None of this really has to do with the spirit of the thread, we all got a little sidetracked...

We need some holes filled, and I would love for Chris Cooley and Issac Hilton to be the ones to fill them. What are our odds?
