Vincent Jackson ???

Post by BRO »

What would you think of trading down in the draft to get some more picks and get Vincent Jackson in the 2nd or 3rd round???? He's a 6'6" 235 WR....I think he could be a big physical player in the nfl.

http://www.nflfans.com/draft/2005/showp ... %20Jackson

I think we take him and try to build our offensive line...I see why some people want a pass rushing DE but our defensive looked great this year.

-trade down and pick up a 2nd rounder and maybe another pick
-take the best Center in the draft
-Vinecent Jackson
-and then pick up a good pass rushing DE and more O-Line depth

Great idea, i seen a special on him a couple of weeks ago. I think he will be a nice fit simply because the expectations wont be there.

:o I read the review by Kiper on this guy. Akthough physically intimidating, Kiper says he has talent, but needs work. Aparently, he has some route running problems, as well as focus issues. He is a solid 2 or 3 round pick.

Simply stated, we need an impact WR, not a project, now! I think he will be a dominant WR, but he will need time to mature. IMO, go for M. Williams or B. Edwards, period!

A more conceivable option, I think, is that both the cowpokes and the skins are looking at Troy Wiliamson. No I might take a risk on him. He seems to have it going on, but wait to the combine.

Rebuttal?

IMO Vincent Jackson is no different than Darnerian McCants. Both are big, strong, and good red zone targets however neither are starting WR material

I think this guy can be a very good football player he is big and fast for his size 6'5 241. I think the redskins should look at this guy especially if we kept coles.McCants is not going to be here so why not get this guy,I will be pulling for this guy in April.

I noticed Jackson while watching the combine - I really liked him because of his size and better-than-average speed...plus he seemed more mature than the other receivers in his group...if he can block and he's available in the 4th round I'd like to see him in B&G...

Big Dude! Could be valuable in the later rounds - I'm guessing he's a fifth rounder at best though.
