Wish me luck...
I, with the full support of my chain of command, will be submitting a request for transition from the Navy into the Army's Warrant Officer Program for rotary aircraft pilot. Translation...With luck on my side, I may soon be flying helicopters. I don't care if it's an attack bird, or simply a supply chopper. I'll be happy no matter what. Not to mention the fact that it'll almost double my pay. I'll post an update when I hear more. Wish me luck...

Wow good luck skinz. People always have more respect for Warrant Officers, they get there the hard way!
I hope it all works out and quickly.

Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Congratulations in advance as we all know you'll accomplish this.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
Wow -- Best of luck with the "career" change! My cousin is a Major with the Canadian Air Force, who trains and flies the Cormorant, Sea King and Griffon for search and rescue. I know he LOVES it!
If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?
Thank you all for your support. Since I was already in the Army (and yes I'm a leg...for now) as a member of an Army Reconnaisance Regiment, I'm already well versed in the daily life of a soldier. That part won't be that bad. What I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE ON is the daily life of an officer and the interaction amongst peers. It'll also be rough trying to maintain a professional distance from my troops while still being an integral leader in their lives. (Have seen the problems from the other side of the mirror too many times. But like everything else, with proper training and experience, everything will come to it's fruition. Instead of controlling aircraft, I'll be flying one. It'll make getting to DC alot easier...
I'll just have to schedule a lot of training in the Andrews AFB region...especially during football season.
And especially in one of these...

For what? Unruly Polar Bears? Riots after hockey games?
Yup -- that's about right!

Get out a can of Kiwi and rub it on your nose, then walk around your peers and dont forget to jump in their asses for not saluting.
