According to Mike Jones with the Post he is on practice field doing sprints today. The Redskins definitely used the last injury as a reason to shut him down. Long has been a big improvement at center. Definitely a better fit there than left guard.

When is the last time the Redskins had a good Center? It feels like the position has always been so-so or a weakness.

Things have been more solid the last couple games, you think he's a longterm solution at that position?

Everything has been a downgrade from Jeff Bostic. Raleigh McKenzie was decent at it but he also played every other line position. Unfortunately, it's never been a point of emphasis for the team to go after an Alex Mack in the draft.

Well, to be fair, its been widely reported that they were after Ryan Kelly this year. Damn that still bums me out. Especially with Docston going the way he has to date.

Yep. And the year before, McCloughan had Amari Cooper rated higher than Scherff, and he almost fell to us too.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Scherff, but can you imagine if we had been able to draft Cooper and Kelly? =P~

That's OK. We'll be fine in the long run, I think. McCloughan's going to get his guy as often as someone else steals him.
