So you guys are saying that you think Alfred morris and rg3 have the same leg construction and are equally likely to get hurt

 that's so logical - where do you come up with this BS
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Well I hope you're all right, I do think its possible he could stay healthy for a while, but the not injury prone argument baffles me, especially after the jags game

He's had two injuries in three seasons (I don't count the concussion). I'm not ready to say he's injury prone yet. If it happens again this season, I may change my mind.

You might be right that RGIII is genetically more prone to ACL injuries. I don't really have any way to know that for sure or not.

Your original statement though the other day was "If the people who get hurt every year aren't "injury prone" then what are they?" I'm just saying that's ridiculous. If I get hit by a car this week and break my leg and then next week I break the other leg when I get hit by a truck, its not proof that I'm genetically prone to injury. There are all kinds of factors (including luck!).

^^ +1 - Griffin may be injury prone but to state that he is injury prone at this time because of his genetics is just not right

I'm no expert in genetics, so I won't comment on that aspect. Based on his track record, he does seem to be injury prone.

I don't see that we have enough evidence to say that - he's had some injuries but they have not happened because he's not healthy or strong enough - they have occurred because of how he's played a very physical game

we may have enough evidence soon but until then my opinion is he's not prone to getting injured

Based on their track record, so are Brian Orakpo, Jordan Reed, Chris Cooley, Joe Theisman, Clinton Portis, Philip Thomas, etc; etc; etc; etc; All players who have a track record of being injured multiple times.

Cal Ripken did not seem prone to injury while Mickey Mantle did. Not sure why.

First thing I think about when I hear the name Mickey Mantle .. it's a shame he was injury prone

and - you could tell he was going to be from the first couple of seasons

Mickey Mantle tore his knee on some sort of stadium equipment -- a drain or something like that -- is his first season or so. Played the rest of his career on a bad knee. Not so much injury-prone as played hurt forever.

Ah...here's the story. Playing RF in the 1951 World Series, Joe DiMaggio in CF. Stengel had told Mickey to take anything he could reach because Joe had lost some speed. Willie Mays (a gathering of the greats!) had hit a fly-ball to right center. Mantle raced for it, but DiMaggio called him off. Mantle stopped, caught a cleat in a drain, and that wrecked his knee.

Griffin runs like a college QB, which is dangerous in the NFL. He will learn, though. His arm is like that of a true NFL star QB...think back to Rich Mirer or the QBs from Florida. Griffin is NOT Wuerffel.

He's certainly injury-plagued, and the jury's out on how injury-prone he is. There is ZERO doubt, however, that Robert is definitely prone to leading this team to 3-6, year in and year out.

He's played 2 games this year, but led it to 3-6? Wow.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I know the story well. Mick was my first hero. This was a bad injury but it wasn't his first or last. He was plagued.

He was already taping both knees in high school due to nearly constant suffering from bone and cartilage problems. In the early 60s he had some horrible abscess in his hip.

Even after the knee injury noted below he was known as "the fastest man to first base" for several years.

I like what we saw from Griffin today ... would have like a better result but physically he looked fine

I also liked how much he's developed - he's bigger than he was

he's going to be fine - he just needs a little help

Griffin could benefit greatly from a better O-line, that is more suited to him. But, he won't get one this season.

I think everyone can agree that whether or not there is an "injury prone" justifiably labeled on him, he's still scares the crap out of fans when he takes those big hits. There were at least 3 yesterday where I didn't think he was going to get up.

I'm with you!

RedeemedSkins wrote above that RGIII has been "injury plagued". I thought that was a more accurate and fair description.

For whatever reason(s), that O-line and RG3 do not mix well at all. It's really a shame. I fully expect him to be re-injured- somewhere- before the season is over. It's nothing against him personally, or even as a player. I would LOVE to see that man flourish on our team. My gut just says "Nope... he ain't it." That gut feeling is based on what I have seen from him in MOST of his tenure here at Washington. He did have a glorious month or two in 2012. But, I've just not been that impressed since his injury during the Ravens game of that year.

I disagree that he's injury prone and I strongly disagree that the label 'injury prone' is justifiable ...

I do worry when he takes a hit but that's because he's so important to our team NOT because he's prone to being injured

as I've posted before - he may be injury prone but it's too early to justify that label

in your estimation, there were 3 big hits on him yesterday; yet, as injury prone as he is in your view, he still finished the game

I am somewhat curious about this. For all of you people who seem to worship Robert Griffin III (there are a few here that make every excuse for him and glorify the man like he is the 2nd coming, which is kinda creepy to me); Have any of you considered the extent that WOULD qualify Griffin as "injury prone?" Is it going to take 2 broken legs and a torn whatchamadoodle in one game?

I mean, I realize QB's are all targets. Look at Tony Romo. He is definitely injury-prone. But, Griffin's body and athleticism, and his STYLE OF PLAY, make him even more likely to have serious injuries. I don't think he could ever be as effective and efficient as his Baylor days if he tries to "become" an NFL pocket passer. The 2012 version of RG3 is what we want. That version is just not built to withstand the NFL, in the way he plays it. Throw in the fact that the Washington O-Line, when he's behind them, look even MORE atrocious and you have a recipe for certain disaster. His ankle was kind of a fluke. But, I just don't see his body, and how he uses it, as lasting in the NFL.

So, what would it take to accept that he is an injury waiting to happen? Another season-ending injury where he is on the bench watching. 2 more? 4 more? I don't want to see the guy get crippled for life in this process!
