A solid defence would surely be a great help in allowing RGIII to develop rather than playing catch up games every week, desperately trying to keep pace with the opposition whilst the defence performs like a limp lettuce.
Of course, a solid rebuttal to that argument would be that Peyton Manning and Troy Aikman developed very nicely whilst playing their rookie seasons on abysmal teams and getting knocked all over the field. But they are exceptions to the rule - which RGIII may also prove to be over time.

Really sucks for Rak. I'm bummed that we won't get to see him tearing it up this season!!!
I didn't realize ours was the only team in the league to lose stud players during the season though. Sucks for us.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Losing both Carriker and Rak is a huge blow obviously.
However I do think we can plug in Jenakins and I hope Wilson fills in as OLB. I have always liked the way Wilson got after the QB. I have always wanted him to get more playing time. So I guess now is the oppurtunity.
Probably have to move Kerrigan to the other side? Oh well press on! Bring on the Bengals!!!!

Welll... except for the FACT that he tore up the Saint's last week, and was on it again yesterday...cleg wrote:Am I a bad fan if I admit that while I appreciate Orakpo's talent I always found him a tad overrated and unable to adjust to what the opposition would do to take him out of the game? I know... that's inconvenient...

This shows you here just how much we might miss Rak:
"Just how big of a loss is Orakpo to the Redskins pass rush? With him on the field since 2009, the Redskins sacked opposing quarterbacks on 6.4 percent of dropbacks, which ranked in the top 10 in the NFL. With Orakpo off the field, that same pass rush sacked quarterbacks at a rate which would have put them 2nd to last over that same span. Ouch."
Boy I really hope Jackson and Wilson can step it up cuz we need that pass rush immensely

Really sucks to be down 2 stud players, but this will give Chris Wilson or Jackson a chance to flash their skills. I have been a fan of Wilson since years past.
Maybe Jenkins or Baker or someone from practice squad can fill in.
A BIG CONCERN is the 2ndary.
Are there any free agent CBs or Safeties out there....???

gee, tied for last already and their best player on offense is out and their best player on defense is out for the season. plus other injuries.
yep, they're right where they always are. as i predicted. which, admittedly, is always easy when your talking about the washington redskins.
tough break, skins fans. better luck next year, hopefully those rams wont be on your schedule yet again. of course, they have your first round pick, too, so they're quite happy.

Come into smack and let's have a chat homie. What useful insight do you think your providing us? You join a redskins forum and waste your time posting your ignorant bias slop... Hoping someone looses it and calls you what u are so u can cry to the mods. It's called attention whoring. Like parez Hilton. Lame. Worthless.
You provide nothing to this forum, and probably nothing to this world. Your not even a rival fan; your way of not getting attacked back right? If your not a fan of our team, or our league for that matter, wtf are you doing here? Do us a favor and leave, or start a thread and ONLY post in it. Having to skip over your filth is a pita and the trash you post is clogging up our threads.
Final response. We are redskins fans doode.. we sure as F know how we've suckd the last two decades. And ftr our best player on O is RGiii and Rak certainly isn't the best much less best pass rusher. Kerrigan will be/is better already...
You'd probably fit in a lot better on a puke forum

I understood that he re-tore the pectoral muscle. It was aggravated in the preseason, and it seems the weakened muscle lost it again Sunday. It's bad enough he suffered this injury once, but when you have the injury recur, the likelihood of this being a nagging problem for him the rest of his career is very high. I am sick for him - such a waste of a great player and teammate.
The curse is still on. Jack Kent Cooke is still pissed from what has happened to his franchise under Dan Snyder. I am convinced of this more than ever.
Solution - new stadium in DC with the name Jack Kent Cooke stadium (NOT FedEx PLEASE) and the curse will be lifted. Until then, not feeling so good.
Tired of injuries year in, year out. Most teams don't deal with this many injuries to key players, and if they do, it's a one year thing and they move on. No matter with the Redskins it's always like the floodgates open up. I used to think it was the strength & conditioning coaches, but I don't even buy that anymore. It's something supernatural at this point.

From what I read(sorry no link but I'm pretty sure Shanny said it) he did tear the pec muscle but it was a different part of the muscle than what he tore before. I'm sure it had something to do with the old injury but it wasn't the same tearFanofallthatisGibbs wrote:I understood that he re-tore the pectoral muscle.
