Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

IMO, it's not ego... When you work around real professionals, they have a sense of arrogance about them when it comes to their craft.

Wait, here's a good example. RGIII is said to tiptoe the fine line between confidence and arrogance. He's confident in himself and his ability, that comes off as arrogant to some people. I'm confident in my profession and it irritates me to no end to have someone who isn't knowledgeable try to skool me based off of their feelings.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

Totally agree. If Shanny can start delivering some big wins, then the fans will stop complaining that he's "an egomaniac" and start saying "wow, what a genius". See: Belichick, Bill.

He's got me hyped with his comments about RGIII for sure.

The perceptions of Shanahan will change when things get turned around

Like you said Chris - a lot of these HCs have huge egos - prime example is the fat slug, Bill Parcells

I'm not a fan of the guy but I really like Mike as the HC and what he's doing with Bruce Allen in managing this franchise
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Acknowledgement is food for trolls.

Apparently not.

This is the troll's favorite part of the season, when she can make any statement she wishes, because she knows that real fans have to wait four more months before their team can show the world the progress that's been made.

then why did he trade four draft picks (including a high second round pick) for a pair of 30+ year old offensive players? how is that long term? not to mention they both sucked to this point.

apologies in advance for stating facts that contradict your beliefs.

I like that Mike likens the vets to guys he'd like to have at his side

at the same time ... all these guys are going to have to continue to not only earn a roster spot but also to get playing time :D

it's going to be a tough camp for many players

Good! I completely agree with what you're saying, and I love the fact that our training camps have been getting more competitive.
